It beats the taste of Koolaid
by RagnarDanneskold, 09:03 PM, 21 Comments
Don't you just love the sweetness of vindication? I do. It sure beats the taste of phony manufactured Koolaid. Under the new Wisconsin budget repair, one school district goes from a $400,000 deficit to a $1.5 million surplus. Let's stop and think of all the protesters who carried signs asserting that their opposition to Scott Walker was for the children. Kaukauna school districts sees benefits from collective bargaining law The Kaukauna School District says before the Budget Repair Bill they... [read more]

Amidst news today that John Laddenburg will not be running for Attorney General, two names have surfaced as possible dark horses. It is rumored that Snohomish Prosecutor Mark Roe and former State Senator Randy Gordon are considering tossing their names into the hat. Roe worked for 22 years as a Snohomish County deputy prosecutor before being elected to his current position. Gordon represented the city of Bellevue and currently owns his own law firm there. A Quiz

For our liberal friends. Can you guess who came up with this marvelous, well-meaning program? We ask that the government undertake the obligation above all of providing citizens with adequate opportunity for employment and earning a living. The activities of the individual must not be allowed to clash with the interests of the community, but must take place within its confines and be for the good of all. Therefore, we demand:... an end to the power of the financial interests.... [read more]

What I expect from my elected officials
by RagnarDanneskold, 11:55 AM, 0 Comments
NOTE: I did not write this, but am posting it with the permission and encouragement of the author whom I know and love well. What I expect from my elected officials: I expect them to be ethical, moral and honest. I expect them to have read and know the Constitution so that they clearly understand the oath they take. I expect them to have read The Bill of Rights and The Federalist Papers so that they understand the intent of... [read more]

The Anthony Weiner-Mark Foley connection.

Mark Foley (R-FL) had to resign back in 2006, after having sent lewd emails to male pages. But before his fall, Foley was an ardent foe of sex predators. Here he is giving a brief speech about how much he detests them, and how we must do something. I used to think the cry of "do something" was code for "we're taking another of your freedoms." But maybe sometimes it means "the problem I want to do something about is... [read more]

Remembering the Reagan Memorial on This Day, the Anniversary of His Death
by 6p013487f37c00970c, 01:53 PM, 1 Comments
Few here will forget the summer that Ronald Reagan passed away, specifically---on this day of June 5th in 2004. The week of events that marked his passing ended with a magnificent funeral, followed by a cross-country flight that took his body from Washington DC to a burial service in California at sundown. A stunning day that has been firmly etched into the memory of many Americans. Of particular significance to me was the postlude music from his state funeral in... [read more]
