About a year ago I posted an estimate of the cost of the State Patrol's fake diploma scandal. Ten state troopers had submitted fake diplomas in order to qualify for automatic pay raises. According to my calculations, the scandal cost taxpayers about $600,000 at minimum, and probably closer to $1 million, mostly in paid "administrative" leave. Previous post is here. Why Are Republicans Voting Against Tax Cuts?

I recently wrote an email to Dave Reichert. The note was -- why did you vote against a tax cut...you're a Republican!? Maybe they don't like the color of their money, but the recent elections have said one thing and one thing only -- people do not want to pay tax for a system they consider inequitable. I bet that a lot of readers who debate Sound Transit on Sound Politics really have no idea what it's like to ride the 'blue wave' of Sound Transit.
