Dear Mr. Rossi: The National Right to Life Political Action Committee is pleased to endorse you for election to the United States Senate from the state of Washington. This endorsement reflects your commitment to renewing a culture of life, not only in Washington, but throughout the nation and in the U.S. Congress. Your opponent, Senator Patty Murray, voted to enact President Obama's pro-abortion health care law, which will provide government funding for health plans that pay for abortion on demand,... Why I joined the Tea Party Movement
by chekflow, 02:53 PM, 8 Comments
I have never before been involved in politics. I run a small business and thought myself to busy trying to make my run at " Capitalism 101". What most folks on the left discount is how many people saw the writing on the wall not during the beginning of the Obama administration, but way before during the Bush administration and the wild uncontrolled spending and big government programs that started back then. The current administration then went ahead and, upon... [read more]

Restaurant Unlimted Turns Blind Eye to Public Health
by 6p0133f350d464970b, 10:41 AM, 6 Comments
It has been, in recent years, determined that mental health and well being is closely enough tied with physical health and well being, that most insurance carriers now no longer put limitations on patients for how many visits they might have per year with a counselor, and even the benefits are now often paid at the same percentage as treatment for any other medical condition would be. That in mind, is mental or emotional damage or suffering inflicted upon a... [read more]

Beren write-in waste of filing fee and WSRP robo calls
by ccwt, 06:48 PM, 1 Comments
On page 51 of the King County Voters Pamphlet is a sidebar named "Regarding write-ins". The second paragraph reads, == However, write-in votes are not tallied by name unless the total number of write-in votes could make a difference in the results of the race. == So any votes for Steve Beren are unknown and invisible. The State Party wasted some money on robo-calls promoting Beren's write-in campaign, I got one. Steve wasted his filing fee to be invisible in... [read more]

Yes on Initiative 1100, No on Initiative 1105
by 6p0133f3213f26970b, 10:28 AM, 2 Comments
There are two liquor privatization initiatives on the ballot this November-- Initiative 1100 and Initiative 1105. I-1100 will provide a fair marketplace for consumers, while improving the Liquor Control Board's ability to enforce important alcohol safety laws. I-1105 is a self-serving initiative written by the two largest liquor distributors on the west coast. It's a lousy deal for everybody else. For frequent updates and the inside scoop, read the Yes 1100 No 1105 blog. It's not authorized by the official... [read more]

Free Patty Campaign
by 6p0133f3189103970b, 10:28 PM, 0 Comments
Cut The String is the theme of the Free Patty campaign I am posting online to retire Senator Patty Murray. In the posters I cast Ms. Murray, the three term Democrat, and President Obama as puppet and puppeteer. (18 years is enough already!). Cut The String features a Dino Rossi character, Republican candidate for Murray's seat, brandishing a giant scissors before the puppet's strings. Retire Patty portrays the senator in a tie dye shirt and tennis shoes, toting a... [read more]

HUD and the Atlanta Incident
by chekflow, 04:05 PM, 5 Comments
Watching the 30,000 or so folks lining up in Atlanta for 13,000 available applications for housing assistance, I was truck with incredible sadness. I have been without housing. Without money. Mostly as a young person. As an orphan, I found my own inner strength and perseverance. Abused as a child? (the level of which would horrify anyone with a conscious) Check. Ward of the state? Check. Having to make it on one's own with little guidance? Check. Wildly Succeeded in... [read more]

Rossi Does Not Get It
by tpahl, 03:28 AM, 0 Comments
Dino Rossi recently said, "I think that most people, Democrats and Republicans alike, see that the spending is bankrupting America," Rossi said in an interview. "Until we balance the budget, we need to ban earmarks." Does Rossi not understand that earmarks do not increase spending? Does he not understand that earmarks are just a tiny portion of our spending? And most important, does Rossi understand that to truly balance the budget we will need to cut government programs and departments... [read more]

Our Republic has to be reborn!
by chekflow, 05:06 PM, 11 Comments
Just watched O'Reilly and he stated his insurance premiums went up 2K this year. Mine went up for me and my child in July. My girlfriend's policy was eliminated and she had to switch to a higher priced plan. ObamaCare was and remains a sham. It was passed despite the public's voice of opposition. Just like Prop 8 was overturned by judicial fiat in California. These events are beyond ideology. We are becoming a faded Republic and the soft tyranny... [read more]
