Pigs Fly/Hell Freezes Over: Gay Hillary Supporters Apologize to George W

We already knew, but seems some democrats have also finally seen the light and are honest enough to say it.

Over at Hillbuzz, gay Hillary supporters are apologizing for all the nasty things they ever said about President Bush and are recognizing positive things about him that we conservatives knew a long time ago. The impetus for said apology was the visit that President Bush and Laura made earlier this week to Ft. Hood to visit with the families of Army Maj. Nidal Hasan's shooting victims.Welcome to truth, friends over at Hillbuzz:

"If you have been reading us for any length of time, you know that we used to make fun of "Dubya" nearly every day....Oh, how we railed against Bush in 2000....Well, we told you before how much the current president, Dr Utopia, made us realize just how wrong we were about Bush. We shudder to think what Dr. Utopia would have done post-9/11. He would have not gone there with a bullhorn and struck that right tone. More likely than not, he would have been his usual fey, apologetic self and waxed professorially about how evil America is and how justified Muslims are for attacking us, with a sidebar on how good the attacks were because they would humble us.....

"We will always be grateful for what George and Laura Bush did this week, with no media attention, when they very quietly went to Ft. Hood and met personally with the families of the victims of this terrorist attack.....The Bushes went and met privately with these families for HOURS, hugging them, holding them, comforting them.

"If there are any of you out there with any connection at all to the Bushes, we implore you to give them our thanks...you tell them that a bunch of gay Hillary guys in Boystown, Chicago were wrong about the Bushes....and are deeply, deeply sorry for any jokes we told about them in the past, any bad thoughts we had about these good, good people."

We here at SP of course aren't the least bit surprised that W and Laura went to Ft. Hood without any fanfare. For W is a good and decent man and any publicity for this wouldn't mean anything to him. Because for him and for Laura, it really is about the families and the soldiers. Not themselves. They have always been that way. It's just that apparently some on the Left who wouldn't see it before are finally seeing the truth about the Bushes.

Good on ya, Hillbuzz democrats. We thank you and are honored to be fans of W with you.

1. I just read their full blog post and just about teared up! If folks like that can come around and see the light and say such warm and thoughtful praise about not only George Bush but Dick Cheney as well, then there is hope for this country.

2. OK, so what's the punch line?

Seriously, in just 11 short months a lot of people are coming around on this boob Obama but this endorsement really does shock me. It must be just a bad as I thought.

They forgot to mention also what "Dr. Utopia" (I like it!) would have done at ground zero . . . made it all about him.

I believe that history will treat W fairly and positively but so soon? This will be fun to watch.

Damn!

Being a fiscal conservative there was much about George W's domestic policies I didn't like but these Hillbuzz folks said it as good as I could ever have hoped...

Now we have what amounts to an administration acting like a banana republic defiling the Oval Office hoping to embarrass Bush and company and maybe trying for more than mere embarrassment...
