Seattle Libraries Reopen

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2009825349_weblibrary08m.html

Thanks Greg Nickels

A normal city would have eliminated a nonessential in the budget and kept the libraries open, but Greg Nickels has done this in the past between the Christmas and New Years school recess

Another option would be clsoing early by cutting the hours by 4 or 8

1. The public libraries should move out of the entertainment field. They do not need to have People Magazine, rap music CDs, etc. Not to mention internet games, porn, etc. If you want internet porn, fine, have at it. But not on the taxpayer dime!

Dori Monson recently posted on his blog the case of the Eastside Library that had hired a psychic to do tarot card readings as a way to try to teenagers to come to the library.
