Ignore Endorsements
by SeattleRepublicans, 09:11 AM, 0 Comments
http://www.seattlepi.com/connelly/408465_joel27.html Joel is right that one needs to look at the individual/organization making the endorsement, and Sandeep's "Stranger" relationship to Ron Sims, Greg Nickels, and Dow Constantine and the effect, if any, it has on Sandeep's endorsements on Publicola As always, the public comments are interesting. Apparently Joel misspelled a person's last name again... [read more]

media bias rolls on.

I was not too interested in a corruption story from the opposite shore, but I decided to read it anyway, just to see how the identification of political affiliations was handled. The Seattle Times story is here Sure enough, party affiliation is not mentioned until the second-to-last paragraph, where four suspects are named. Three are Democrats; one is a Republican state legislator: "Most of those arrested were public officials and included Mayor Peter Cammarano, 32, of Hoboken, who took office... [read more]

Here's How Obama Plans To Destroy Private Health Insurance
by MicheleDeRouis, 12:56 PM, 8 Comments
hat tip to Michelle Malkin's blog for leading me to this bombshell info-- Well, well, well. Investor's Business Daily has discovered how Barack Obama and the beltway democrats plan to destroy private health insurance. It's on page 16 of the bill. Here's what IBD reports: "When we first saw the paragraph Tuesday, just after the 1,018-page document was released, we thought we surely must be misreading it. So we sought help from the House Ways and Means Committee. It turns... [read more]
Michael Steele and Sean Salazar share the same vision on the importance of diversity for the future of the GOP.

SEAN SALAZAR INDEPENDENT LEADERSHIP. REAL SOLUTIONS. I first met Sean about a year ago. He was my first introduction to the idea that "we must show up" in the poor communities, the minority communities and the inner cities. Sean Salazar is far from the typical media's image of a country club Republican. Sean is a son of a single mother with several siblings who grow up in government housing, moving from one poor inner city project to another. In fact... [read more]

PI - Mallahan: Nickels has 'turned his back' on Seattle seniors
by SeattleRepublicans, 01:22 PM, 1 Comments
http://blog.seattlepi.com/seattlepolitics/archives/173587.asp I was out of town Monday July 13th and missed the Seattle mayoral candidate debate at Spitfire in Belltown. If you read the above article and the comments to the PI article, there is debate about what the actual spending amount is, the actual rate, and whether Mallahan's report was released soley to pander to Senior voters. Nickel's Campaign Manager Sandeep "Stranger" Kaushik adds his own spin I view Mallahan's report as another example of Nicke;'s history of mismanagement... [read more]

My eyes were fixed on the doctor...as he systematically began to "inventory parts"... body parts... NO!... BABY PARTS!... One perfect little leg...snapped off at the hip... then the other... one perfect little arm...snapped off at the shoulder...then the other... I could not even speak... I almost fainted with what came next! The entire spine...all vertebrae in-tack with the spinal cord and little wire like nerves dangling from both ends... no skin in sight...just bloody parts torn out of the back of this little child! "Good!", he declared with great relief. "I have everything here but the head and the trunk!" [read more]

SP needs comment moderation.
by JeffB., 08:16 AM, 35 Comments
It's time for comment moderation at Sound Politics. Increasingly, comment threads denigrate to ad hominem attacks, off-topic rants, threats, and completely baseless assertions. All the while sprinkled with the random, thoughtless venom that only the cover of anonymity can provide. Jim Miller does moderate his comment threads somewhat. And often he turns off comments, which is welcome when he simply wants to make an announcement like "Happy 4th of July." This is a great start, and much needed for a... [read more]
Behind the Palin Resignation?
by 6p01053690976c970c, 03:39 AM, 16 Comments
I will jettison this if a post appears on the main page, but since I am interested to hear opinions on her resignation, I go for it... If you read the comment threads of various local sites, you'll see the full panoply of Palin Derangement Syndrome. This one is fairly typical--a somewhat bizarre piece by Lance Dickie of the Seattle Times, who speculates that the "law doggies" were closing in, or that she desired a big payday after experiencing the... Dave "Cap & Trade" MIA at parade
by ameslaker, 02:09 PM, 3 Comments
The Independence Day parade in Carnation was notable today for the absence of Congressman Dave Reichert. He has not missed this before. Maybe all of our emails concerning "cap and trade" have him a little embarrassed to smile and wave at the people who elected him, and who now feel betrayed. The democrat contingent was populated by the usual suspects, all overshadowed by Segway boy Oemig, some raggedy hippy hold overs and for some reason - a Darcy Burner for... [read more]
