Swine flu: is Bush to blame?

You know it had to happen. They're blaming not George W. Bush, but Karl Rove (close enough) for opposing some spending sought by Wisconsin Democrat David Obey for 'pandemic preparation.' Obey had sought to put this in the so-called stimulus package, but apparently Karl Rove spoke against it and Obey's proposal failed.

Naturally enough, this has gone viral on the web. If you google 'Pandemic+Obey' or similar, you'll find tons of postings already on sites like 'Daily Kos.' Here's one example from the nation.

They've already blamed Bush for a hurricane. Now they're going to blame him for a plague. If there are swarms of locusts anywhere in the U.S. this summer, we already know whose fault that will be. All you can say is LOL!

1. Rove really is all-powerful, considering he can force a Slavery Party run Congress, with a Slavery Party President to drop items from a Slavery Party proposed and written stimulus bill. When he was just a private citizen!

Rove, you magnificent bastard!

2. It's like I always say: Democrats want the power, but don't want the responsibility of their office. They act like children, and aren't willing to actually do anything useful. They ARE apparently willing to spend us into complete oblivion for no good purpose, and blame everyone but themselves for anything negative that happens. They still haven't acknowledged anything about their role in the banking fallout, even though democrats chaired the banking committees in the House & Senate for two years before things came to a head.
Vote the bums out.

3. just a note to apologize that I did not notice the thread about this by pudge before I posted.

Anyway, it was worth it to get that response from S. Dan--LOL. If you take the letters ROVE it does spell out 'Rule Of Virtually Everything.'

Anyway, I do think this is an excellent example of the sort of magical thinking that has taken over the far-left. They have become much more akin to a religious cult than a political movement.

4. 'Act like children' is very apt, Michele--as a psychiatrist once explained to me, children tend to be very magical in their thinking, although it is something that most of us grow out of.
