Green take-out; aluminum waste

For the past few weeks Seattle residents have suffered the new paper-board take out trays - you know, the ones that leak through in 5 minutes and collapse in 20 when the food is moist or saucy.

Today our local teriyaki place has begun putting aluminum foil across the tray sections before filling with food - YES !!!! I love it, and tell them so.

So our wonderful greenies got their "sustainable" legislation to force vendors to use the paper board containers, but, OOOPS, now they get aluminum foil waste in the land fills.

Yes, aluminum does degrade, eventually, but how healthy is dissolved aluminum in mama earth? Dissolved aluminum in the water table?

Someone who knows their chemistry can tell us ...

I love the world of unintended consequences!!!

I will begin suggesting aluminum foil lining to other vendors I buy from.

1. Another good example of why leftists should not be in charge of anything. Two things are near certainties when leftists meddle with life as we know it: Whatever they change will be more inconvenient. And it always will be more expensive.
