If you had any remaining doubts about whether today's 'big' media are fair-minded in their reporting, you can erase all doubt with this piece of news: while journalists have been fawning and slobbering all over Barack Hussein Obama during his campaign and subsequent installation as POTUS, now comes word that ex-Clintonite George Stephanopoulos holds daily strategy & message-crafting meetings with Obama's Chief of staff & fellow ex-Clintonite Rahm Emanuel. This has apparently been going on during the campaign, as well, talk show host Janet Parshall reported on her radio program Thursday.
What's the problem with that, you ask? The problem is Stephanopoulos' 'other' job: as ABC News Chief Washington correspondent and host of ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos." Yep--you read right: Stephanopoulos daily helps craft and strategize the Whitehouse's message with Emanuel and other liberal operatives, and then "reports" the Whitehouse news to an unsuspecting national audience. This is a shocking revelation, to say the very least.
Media Research Center's Brent Bozel concludes:
"For Stephanopoulos, the line between journalist and liberal strategist would be completely obliterated were it not for the fact that it apparently never existed at all. He didn't fail in his attempt at transformation from liberal operative to journalist--he never made the effort."
No kidding.
"Objective" journalism at the big networks and newspapers seems to be gasping its last breaths. And this kind of horrifying conflict of interest causes one to wonder why the networks can't figure out why their viewers are leaving.
