I am not a lawyer, but one has to wonder what the Cannons of Judicial Ethics have to say about a Judge hearing a case where one of the parties has donated money to his/her campaign?
In this current case, (Robert F. Utter and Faith Ireland in the name of the State of Washington, plaintiffs vs. The building Industry Association of Washington, Defendants); the presiding Judge, Paris Kallas is, in my humble opinion giving the plaintiffs everything they want.
Faith Ireland dontated money to Paris Kallas's campaign, please go to the PDC webiste and look it up (if I could figure out links you would have it here). It is not the amount of money (only $50.00), but the appearance of fairness is still there. Isn't there some other Judge who could hear this case? And shouldn't somebody be raising this issue?
