Am I the only one here voting democrat for Secretary of State?

I am heartily sick of Sam Reed. His mishandling of the 04 election; his slavish devotion to mail-only ballots; his failure to demand anything approaching realistic election reform, even in the face of public demand (Require proof of citizenship to register, and legal proof of identity to vote) and his insistent, constant whining over allowing felons to vote before they've completed their sentences... all because it's "too hard" to scrub the voter rolls...

Not only will I vote for his opponent, I will be sending him a check.

There's absolutely no point in supporting a fake democrat in a job crying out to be non-partisan, when, in fact, we can get the real thing.

Does anybody care about the election for this position?

1. Most of your allegations against Sam are baseless. If you care to know why you have the perfect opportunity to challenge him today. He will be speaking at Seattle Skyline Rotary. It meets today at noon at the Columbia Tower Club (Floor 75, Columbia Tower). Cost is $20. Lunch is provided.

2. Answer to your title question- I hope so.

Reed reminds of what is wrong with the Rs. Of course, I suggest turning the party over to Eric and other young 'uns, but I know you won't like my suggestion.

3. Swatter, if you think Reed is wrong then you too are welcome to challenge him today at Rotary.

4. Huh? Are you as crazed as your last comment? So, my mission in life from now on is to go out and confront everyone I don't agree with?

I am supposed to go to some dumb rubber chicken rotary luncheon in the midst of hundreds of others and rant and rave and challenge him? Boy, I can't believe you said that.

Besides, I don't challenge people who don't want to be challenged. It is like talking to the wall.

Now, though, if you give me a one on one with him, I would be greatly indebted.

5. Mr. Griswold, I am prepared to back up everything I say. You, on the other hand, issue a blanket denial and an invitation to pay $20 to talk to this leftist.

Unless you have something of substance to offer... I'll just stick to my guns, thanks.

6. I am considering it, and for all the reasons you quoted. Reed is nothing but a milquetoast chair warmer.

7. There is a Constitution Party candidate running.

8. Yeah... but I'm thinking with the top two, we're going to be stuck with Reed and a democrat. And whoever that democrat is, he's getting my vote.

9. I'll be voting for Osgood, the Democrat running against Reed. Postman did a write up on him here.

10. If you already know it would be between Reed and the Dem, why not vote for a good third party candidate, just to help boost their numbers and give them a little encouragement, then in the general, you could vote for the Democrat?
