This is precisely what happened when the media reported 75,000 voters who flocked to see Obama recently in Portland, OR. Where free food and discounted beer were provided by the Obama campaign.
Portland and Berlin Police are reporting that a large number of the folks in the Obama crowd were SMOKING LOCO WEED!
Next thing you know, word will leak out that Obama is going to cave in to the Iraq war mongers and sell out his supporters to join with the HillBilly bunch! Ain't this a just an awful situation?

NUMBER TWO: Still no progress in last month's DAYLIGHT Gang Shooting downtown at Pike Place Market that sent three to Harborview. Gun shot victims are refusing to talk to police for fear of being murdered as 'snitches and rats'. Local merchants are fuming over the apparent lack of police progress in the investigation. Normally large local summer crowds have diminished after the word got out that you can now be SHOT IN BROAD DAYLIGHT DOWNTOWN, ANYTIME (Could you ever think of yourself or members of your family as gang warfare collateral damage?)

NUMBER THREE: Critical Mass criminal bicyclists ganged up on a motorist who objected to the bikers blocking traffic and beat him severely. Just another example of a 'peaceful' bicycle demonstration going violent! Foul mouthed bikers refused to let the driver pull out of a parking spot, yelling obscenities at the man and his female companion. When he pulled out anyway, his car accidently hit one of the bikers. That set off a disturbance that had to be calmed by 4 squad cars from the Seattle Police Department. Driver was dragged out of his car and beaten senseless while one biker pulled out a knife and threatened the Drivers female passenger and then proceeded to slash the tires on the car. Bikers surrounding the violence were laughing and acting as though they were insane, remarked one observer. (Who knows what they were smoking?) As the driver of the car was being taken away on a stretcher to the hospital for treatment of head wounds one of the bikers was heard to yell out, "You are destroying mother earth with your CO2 spewing carbon polluter! You deserve to die!"
Two of the more violent bikers are now in jail awaiting charges of felony assault and another biker is rumored to be a multi-state fugitive now being sought by the FBI for possible charges of assault with intent to kill which may result in a 3 to 5 year stint in Walla Walla or a Federal prison stretch.
Try as they might, the Seattle media is trying to cover up this story, but there comes a time when truth hurts but has to be printed. Not at the Seattle Times, read their excuses for this violence and then vomit:

NEW SNOHOMISH COUNTY SHERIFF JOHN LOVICK TURNING HIS BACK ON RURAL AREAS?

In an Op-Ed piece for a recent Sunday edition of the Everett Herald, John Lovick rants and raves about the county's gang problems, mostly in the city limits of Lynwood, Edmonds, Everett and all other cities of any size in Snohomish County. He goes on and on about how horrible the gangs are and then states the following:
"This summer the Sheriff's Office, along with several other police agencies including Mill Creek, Mountlake Terrace, Edmonds and Everett, has formed a gang enforcement team to patrol our streets and reduce the number of gang members in our county."
There's only one problem with that folks, the Snohomish County Sheriff has no JURISDICTION within the city limits of any of the cities in Snohomish County that have gang problems! If Lovick's office were to get involved it would have to be in the unincorporated areas or with consultation services paid for by the cities (which is an unlikely scenario).
Many who live in the rural areas are now vitally concerned that Lovick is reversing former Sheriff Rick Bart's long term commitment to the rural law enforcement with this declaration. Word has it that rural patrols HAVE ALREADY BEEN REDUCED in many of the unincorporated areas due to lack of funding for more sheriff patrol officers.

The LA City Council now acting as mega nanny for South LA has a passed an ordnance to stop anymore fast/junk food places from sprouting up in the Southland. Observers were puzzled by this action because many fast food outlets are already packing up and moving out due to the recent violent crime outbreak. The only way to operated in South LA is with a window and a drive-up. Sit down restaurants have been gone for years because of the crime problems in the area (remember the restaurant holdup in "Pulp Fiction"?) The Bloods, the Cripps, and MS 13 have been the first to respond with a warning published in a local gang neighborhood newsletter: "Keep your hands off our fast foot joints and our fortified booze" message to the city council. In what may turn out to be the worst of times for newspapers, radio, television and even internet media; insiders are saying that the current downturn in advertising is going to HIT HARD and across the boards.
One local marketing insider tells the 'Weekly Political News Magazine', "Even local weekly newspapers and vertical market monthly magazines are starting to feel the damage and the biggest loser may be the nation's cable TV industry with thousands of home cable TV cancellations nationwide because of the mortgage crisis!" Cable TV providers get a big piece of their ADVERTISING revenue based on the number of subscribers they have.
On top of that Google has already reported a sharp drop in click revenue and this following Yahoo's on going revenue problems and shareholder discontent.
"When national newspapers and even big city outlets such as the NY Times and the Washington Post report earnings tanking mid year, there is cause for major concern for ALL the nation's large newspapers" reports one media insider.

The Group: Tent University wants to park more than 50,000 college student protestors arriving for the Democratic Convention in tents in a Denver city park and therefore not have to pay for hotel rooms! Pretty clever, huh? No, says the mayor and others concerned about massive amounts of body elimination wastes, trash, fights, drugs, booze, and on and on. The big concern, however, is that the protest and tents may spread to MORE DENVER CITY PARKS where teamed up with the drunks, druggies and homeless they could overwhelm local law enforcement. Tent creep, as it were!
Already there are shades of DISCONTENT on the web with students against the war in Iraq starting to believe that their own OBAMA has joined up with the hated 'Hillary' and has SOLD them out! IS THIS DEVELOPING INTO SHADES OF 1968 CHICAGO? I hope Denver police have checked out their tear gas supply. I also believe they should revisit their rejection of the use of 'slime' guns against the protestors!
Also, it was revealed today that bums, drunks and other homeless will be able to trade in free movie tickets the city is passing out to keep them out of sight during the convention for fortified booze at most convenience stores downtown. Believe me when I tell you that these folks literally have NIGHTMARES about Dino being elected Governor! Why? In what will turn out to be the coldest summer in more than 48 years, Alaska is struggling with cold wet rain and summer temps barely above 60 degrees. I was there one time this happened in 1970, and folks I only saw the sun ONCE during the summer of 1970! Not only that, but during the last two winters the ice shield from the north pole has come down farther south than it has in almost 40 years. They are back to using ice breakers to get into Prudhoe Bay. PLUG IN CARS MAY BRING DOWN THE GRIDS!

The Left are trying to sell wind and solar mandates and subsidies as the solution to high gas prices. The presumed link is the elusive breakthrough in battery technology for plug-in hybrids (PHEVs). However, the day when PHEVs are ready for primetime could be the start of a season of rolling blackouts.

A February 2008 study by researchers at the University of California at Berkeley, found that if Californians buy 5 million PHEVs and charge them when they return home between 6 and 8pm, California's peak load would grow by 4 GigaWATTS or 12%.

"...any on-peak charging would add to currently forecasted peak loads...even low aggregate fleet sizes could stretch local transmission and distribution resources."

As many US regions are currently operating at near full-capacity in the summer already, "accelerating the commercialization of plug-in hybrids" could turn out to be fool-hardy. Since it takes time to increase a region's power supply--6 years to permit and build a coal plant and 10 years for a nuclear plant--building extra generating and grid capacity needs to be started now and not after PHEVs start rolling off the assembly line. If utilities don't start now, what we are likely to have is the worst of both worlds, and car owners will have traded the rationing of high gas prices for the rationing of brownouts. They might justifiably be annoyed at what amounts to false advertising by the states.

I like this response to the utility industry saying that the grid can handle all the plug-ins: "Incredible! We've been told to replace all our lighting with expensive, mercury-laced CFLs, to turn our air conditioners UP, to wash clothes at night AND still expect rolling brown-outs in the future, BUT NOW the grid can handle all the rechargeable cars we can buy? Sounds fishy to me!"

To make matters worse the ploy that Joni tried to use to explain away the ILLEGAL transfer of Sound Transit tax dollars to Seattle environmental crackpot Paul Brainerd's FUTUREWISE fell flat on its face! Joni tried to call it a charitable contribution! (Yeah, right! Brainerd is worth Billions!)
Now faced with another defeat at the polls and money starting to run out because environmental groups such as the Sierra Club want to shut down Sound Transit because of all the awful CO2 global warming gases it generates, Joni is at the end of her rope and I don't mean that literally, yet!
