Tony Snow--We Will Miss You

So, in my daily checking of Drudge Report, I was saddened to see this link: TONY SNOW DEAD AT 53.... Gosh, two brilliant American communication icons dead within a month of each other. First Tim Russert, and now my favorite White House press secretary, both dead.

I used to love listening to Tony Snow on the radio before he became press secretary. I loved his soothing voice and sense of humor. Losing him from radio was bad enough, but now he's gone from our world. He will be missed...

In memoriam.

1. A class act. A sad loss. Cancer research is where we should be focused. Only the good die young.

2. Definitely sad news to hear of Tony's passing. With all the sorry journalist's out there, it is truly disheartening to lose 2 stalwarts at such a young age in a short period of time. R.I.P.

3. Tony's interviews on the Brit Hume Show were the best around. Having two ultraliberals on his panels and not have them turn into shouting matches were terrific.

I remember Juan Williams from Crossfire days, but when he was with Brit and Tony, he became very articulate and easy to listen to. His opinions didn't change but being around Tony and Brit, his dialogue became so much better.

Too, too young by far.

4. I read the AP story about him on the Seattle Times Web site Saturday, and it was disgusting. It insulted the man's life and memory. How very sad that our news sources can't even report on a death without slandering the person.
