News Flash: Obama to End Cold War!

I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems...

...I will not weaponize space...

...I will slow development of future combat systems...

...and I will institute a "Defense Priorities Board" to ensure the quadrennial defense review is not used to justify unnecessary spending...

...I will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons...

...and to seek that goal, I will not develop nuclear weapons...

...I will seek a global ban on the development of fissile material...

...and I will negotiate with Russia to take our ICBMs off hair-trigger alert...

...and to achieve deep cuts in our nuclear arsenals...

Eventually, Obama will have to debate McCain, rather than giving scripted campaign speeches. Any campaign strategist worth his salt should be gathering these quotes to show the real Obama, and then McCain should be challenging him on it.

On another note, this is yet another example of how the lamestream media has given Obama a free pass on unrealistic, utopian-fantasy views.

Update: Obama's really into ending wars, and he knows how to do it. See if you can spot what's wrong with this quote:

"I'm going to call in the Joint Chiefs of Staff and give them a new mission, and that is to bring the war in Iraq to a close. We are going to get out."

1. I feel like I am walking in a real world similar to the Donald Sutherland movie- Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

You see these zombies walking around with a set purpose, but you can't talk to them because they have been taken over.

It is only a few free thinkers who stay in touch with reality who can see the real reality. It seems hopeless, but yet, McCain is close to tied even though he is walking around as Bernie in Weekend at Bernie's Part 3.

2. I reread your post. It sounds this time he is pandering to the Ron Paul supporters.

3. Obama will say whatever's politically expedient, so long as he doesn't give any credit to a Republican. The surge, without question, has worked, and as a result, the US will probably be able to get out of Iraq sooner than if it hadn't occurred. McCain was advocating for it well before even Bush did. Obama opposed it. Yet, knowing what he knows now, he would still oppose it. Unbelievable.
