Stefan, Please come back!!!

This post is a plea for Stefan Sharkansky to return to blogging.

Stefan, I realize you probably have a lot of great personal reasons to be taking a break from blogging. Frankly, it's mentally draining and not always a good use of one's time.

And I do enjoy Eric's almost too frequent posts and Jim's and Don's occasional posts. And pudge has been an excellent addition to the team.

But as a long time reader and commenter of this blog. I can say that it is just not the same without your insightful commentary. And absent your touch, the character of this blog has also changed noticeably. And of course your thoughts will be very useful as we head in to the election season.

Sorry if this is a bit intrusive, but please come back soon.

Regards.

1. I'm figuring about a 25% reduction in readership.

2. Hear, hear, Jeff!

I'm with you. I don't fill the libertarian-minded component that is a core part of the Sound Politics audience, and, well, only Stefan is Stefan.

Waiting...and hoping...

3. I would like to get to know Stefan ideas better but yes more diversity would be great. I enjoy Erics posts the most right now and it is great to get so many. Pudge posts are good but follow up comments could use some more maturity.

4. I suspect Stefan will be back when Stefan can be back, and I know the 2004 election probably took him well past what any individual could of or should have possibly endured. He himself single handedly did a brilliant job, way more than politicians in this state that are paid hundreds of millions of dollars collectivly to do the task, of forcing the clean-up of elections in this state. 2008 Washington will not be perfect, but it will be one hell of alot better because of his contribution.

I welcome him back, hopefully in time to be a watchful eye on Washington 2008 elections.

Bravo Stefan!

5. Stefan's investigation into the 2004 elections is what brought me to this site. He had the best coverage, as he was doing the job that reporters refused to do, by actually asking tough questions and doing some great investigative journalism.

I hope to see you back when you can, but I understand to that there are more important things in life than blogging (family just being one of them).

6. Reading Eric's posts are almost like reading that of a Democrat's Blog.

I wonder why he calls himself a Republican. No doubt he will change parties or at least betray it like Sid Morrison did. He will do it at the time that it will benefit him the most personally to do so and/or hurt the GOP the most.
