IS OBAMA LOSING IT?

Sen. Barack Obama appeared disheveled today when he began an attack on Sen. John McCain's recent successful attempts to court Democratic HillBilly voters who are angry at the male African-American Illinois Senator and his campaign staff for a series of attacks on Hillary before she dropped out of the race.
"On almost every single issue that's important to women, he's been on the wrong side," an uncharacteristically stressed out appearing Obama told a group of reporters in an impromptu interview in Flint, Mich. Monday. Polls came out late Monday showing that a significant percentage of women have gone over to the McCain Campaign and are making campaign contributions to Republicans. The Obama campaign may also be losing soccer moms to McCain, because they feel more secure with McCain and his stand against terrorists.
Obama paused his impromptu speech and pulled out the abortion card and rattled off an emotional attack on McCain in a high pitched voice, "You know he is in favor of judges who would overturn Roe v. Wade. He has opposed equal pay. He has opposed the CHIP [Children's Health Insurance] program, that would make children insured," Obama said as a diesel bus engine made loud noises in the background in a tape shown on this morning's Fox and Friends.
When Obama's handlers tried to usher him away from ABC News cameras, a reporter asked if he was bothered by the gay marriage ceremonies performed across California today, Obama yelled out "No. I stand by my pledge to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act!". The Defense of Marriage Act is a 1996 law passed by Congress and signed by President Bill Clinton that stipulates states don't have to recognize other states' marriages if not between a man and a woman. Hispanic support in California and Arizona may be weakening for Senator Obama because of the 'gay marriage' issue. Hispanics culture defines gay men and women as 'abominations'. Polls came out today showing nearly nine in 10 Hispanic voters oppose legalizing gay marriage while slightly more than half of Hispanic Catholics are opposed to even civil unions.
This was one of the first 'public appearances' where Obama appeared not to be in control. The sight of aggressive aides taking physical charge of him was a shock to some reporters.

WHAT IS THAT GREEN VEGGIE STUFF IN MY COOKIE?

Seattle moveon.org is baking cookies for Obama:

Dear MoveOn Member,
This weekend, we're kicking off a history-making general election season with an event for the ages: nationwide "Hungry for Change" bake sales to raise money for MoveOn's innovative (and massive!) campaign to help elect Barack Obama and other progressives this fall. And everybody's chipping in to make this the biggest bake sale in history. There are grandparents making pecan pies and young kids selling sweets and lemonade. Heck, my mom's even whipping up her famous oatmeal tea cookies!

These bake sales are one of the easiest and most fun ways to set progressives up for victory this fall. Can you help out by bringing something yummy to sell at the bake sale in Seattle? Here are the details:
Host: LIsa B--fellow MoveOn member
Where: Green Lake by the playground (in Seattle)
When: Saturday, Jun. 21, 2008, at 12:00 PM
And here's the link to RSVP and tell the host what you're bringing:
http://pol.moveon.org/event/events/event.html?event_id=47798&id=12889-9092164-HmYjU5x&t=5
The money we raise will go to our cutting-edge campaign to elect Obama--and win enough seats in the House and Senate to give him the votes he needs to end the war, pass universal health care, and make real progress on the issues we fight so hard for. Even if you can't bake something, please sign up today to help staff the table, print out signs, or just come by to get dessert and meet some fellow MoveOn members. This event should be a blast--folks are still raving about how much fun the bake sales were in '04--so you definitely don't want to miss it.
Hope to see you this weekend, and thank for all that you do.

THE END TO FRED WALSER'S SENATE CAMPAIGN?

Snohomish County 39th District Democratic Senate candidate Fred Walser pled guilty last week in Bellingham to what amounts to criminal acts of obstruction in an investigation in which he falsified documents, lied to investigators and all while he was the chief law enforcement officer in Sultan.

Now rumors are circulating that Fred has refused the suggestions of Harriet Spanel of Bellingham the Democratic Senate Majority Caucus Chair to step down as Chair of the US 2 Safety Coalition. Harriet and others running state wide Senate campaigns for the Democrats know that a Public Disclosure Complaint is about to be filed against both Fred Walser and his wife Monroe Mayor Donnetta for not reporting the US 2 Safety Coalition's funding and campaigning to the Public Disclosure Commission. Why? Because as everyone knows it merely is a front for Fred's campaign to unseat Republican Val Stevens and the complaint, rumored to be filed in a matter of weeks, could mark the end of Democrats hopes of unseating Val Stevens who has led the fight against gay rights in the State Senate.

Do you ever get the idea that some people just automatically think that they are not just above the law, but that the law does not apply to them?

Things are so bad for Chief Walser that the Washington Post political reporter in Olympia, Jerry Cornfield, gave a eulogy for Fred's Senate campaign in the Local News Section of the Everett Herald this Sunday:

PAGE SIX ON MS/NBC'S KEITH OLBERMANN

June 15, 2008 -- THE perplexing mystery of why Keith Olbermann acts like a twitchy, hopped-up geek on his MSNBC show has been solved.
The New Yorker's Peter J. Boyer reports the TV loudmouth "has been given a diagnosis of Wittmaack-Ekbom's syndrome, also known as 'restless legs syndrome' (and also 'the kicks,' 'Jimmy legs' and 'the jitters'), a neurological disorder that produces a prickling, itching or crawling feeling in the legs."
Known as a women's ailment because it strikes twice as many women as men, the syndrome has stirred controversy among doctors who don't agree whether it's even real or instead caused by various physical and/or emotional factors. Olbermann is uncoordinated - he can't drive, having once smashed his swollen head leaping into a subway car. The concussion permanently upset his equilibrium, he claims.

I wonder what else it did to his head, he is malfunctioning as far as most intelligent people are concerned.

THE DNC IS RUNNING OUT OF MONEY?

The host committee for the Democratic National Convention in Denver is now facing a shortfall of $15 million, complicating logistics for the August event and forcing it to abruptly postpone a media walkthrough of the site scheduled for next week. The Democratic National Committee has asked the cash-strapped panel to raise $40.6 million by Monday to finance the event. Last month, the committee said it had just $25 million in cash. Last week, Denver city auditor Dennis Gallagher sent a letter to Mayor John Hickenlooper saying taxpayers are concerned they may get stuck with the tab if Denver can't come up with another $15 million by Monday.
Insiders are saying that the withdrawal of Hillary Clinton from the race was a major factor in the shortfall. One insider stated: "Hillary money has dried up ACROSS the boards and now we are in real trouble. The small investors, in the millions, that have given money to Obama and the DNC are young, middle class and tapped out!"

FIGHT THE SMEARS DOT COM

Last week Rush Limbaugh mentioned that there was a RUMOR that some tape existed containing recorded comments that Michelle Obama had to say about White Americans of the 'red neck' variety. Then suddenly a new website showed up on the internet that is designed by Obama's bright group of media/marketing managers to do away with rumors before they can hurt his campaign:
http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/fightthesmearshome/

The new site immediately went after Rush who used their misquotes of his original comments all day Friday on his talk show. He spent his almost three hours laughing at the Obama Campaign who spliced together Rush's earlier remarks in a crude "high school" way.

I just had to ask the Executive Vice President of one of the largest and most successful media marketing organizations in the NW.
"Does this website anti-smear idea make any sense?" I inquired.
"It is the first premise of good marketing to always IGNORE campaign rumors of any kind and let underlings discount them with reporters. By reacting on a website, it gives those who like to 'blog rumors' the opportunity to do more harm than good. It's a bad idea and it will hurt the Obama Campaign!" He added, "The internet IS going to have a major impact on this year's election, but not in the ways traditional marketing people think. Print/broadcast media types are completely out of their league on the web. It's where you raise money, not answer campaign charges."

FACEBOOK WARS?

Read this out tonight on 'MoveOn.Org:

Dear MoveOn member,Imagine showing up on November 4th to cast your history-making vote for Barack Obama--only to be turned away because you aren't properly registered. Think it can't happen to you? Don't be so sure. There are a bunch of reasons your registration might not be up to date, even if you think it is. Take one minute right now to double-check your registration using VotePoke, our new Facebook app. Click here:
http://www.moveon.org/r?r=3764&rc=fb&id=12834-9092164-bvjcIF&t=3
This is going to be an amazing, exciting, once-in-a-lifetime election. You don't want to have to tell your grandkids you wanted to vote for Barack Obama, but didn't actually get to do it.

FaceBook is now the hottest new networking, social website on the internet. US News and World Report is saying that the RNC and the DNC have been warring on Facebook by seeing how many folks they can each put up. The score at the end of this past week:
Dems: 12,394 Republicans: 11,739

TIM RUSSERT'S UNTIMELY DEMISE

For those of you who missed an earlier item I posted:
"High level sources inside NBC" are reporting that network news icons like Tim Russert, Tom Brokaw and Chris Matthews are angry that the far-left Keith Olbermann is destroying the network's credibility with his open support for Barack Obama and his blogging for the hard-left Daily Kos socialist site."
Tim's unexpected exit gives Keith Olbermann new power at NBC. Don't be surprised if he is on the list of candidates to take over Russert's 'Meet the Press'.
Tim's resume was rumored to be going around two weeks ago, now I hear rumors that Chris Matthews' resume is making the rounds. Hmmmm? Maybe he can go to work for Idaho Senator Larry Craig as his media advisor! Who knows, they might 'like' each other.

HILLARY WAITING IN THE WINGS?

Dick Morris, God bless his soul, is out again with more inside information he is getting from Hillary's camp:
"Throughout the next three months, there will always be the possibility that he (Obama) errs so badly that Hillary gets back into the race. Should another pastor rear his head or if one of the mythical tapes that are said to be about to emerge does, in fact, exist, Obama cannot rest secure in the nomination as long as Hillary is overhead, waiting.
Even if all of the superdelegates desert Hillary, as most will now do, she still has 1,639.5 pledged or elected delegates to call her own. While these men and women can legally vote for either candidate, regardless of the slate on which they were elected, one must assume that they are true Hillary believers, who would not have been put on her slate to begin with. These pledged delegates mean that she is always just a step or two away from the nomination, should Obama commit a faux pas." Copyright Dick Morris.
Note that tapes are mentioned, again. These are the mysterious tapes that have yet to surface that are supposed to destroy the Obama Campaign and may be the reason for the FIGHT THE SMEAR website mentioned above.

RONULAN RATS DESERTING THE SHIP?

After this week's call for "ending his campaign" by the Emperor of the Ronulans Ron Paul himself, the rats began deserting the ship. Even in Washington State several senior insiders have already drifted back to the Libertarian Party and have begun 'secretly' working for Bob Barr the Libertarian Candidate for President. As one of those rats commented to me: "We think Barr's message is more concise and leaves out the anti-Semitism and high school political nonsense!"

Barr is reported to be already way ahead gathering signatures to appear on the ballot in 36 targeted states and has apparently gotten possession of the national e-mail list from the Ron Paul campaign and is using it to raise millions in campaign cash. Treason seems to be the signature of those who were pledged to support only Emperor Ron. Who can one trust anymore?

IS THE REAGAN WING HISTORY?

I have it on good information that a formal complaint was filed this last week with the OFFICE OF NANCY REAGAN objecting to the use of a photo of the former President and his name on the Doug Parris website:
http://www.thereaganwing.com/
Nancy Reagan's Chief of Staff Joanne Drake has been quoted as saying in the past: "The use of video footage of President Reagan, or the use of photographs or likenesses to include the 'Reagan' name without the permission of the Office of Nancy Reagan is prohibited."

1. Showing a likeness of an international figure is illegal and must be removed?

I would think 'Reagan' is not copyrightable, per se. I think you need more than that. Special footage you can't get from TV or other public setting, well, that is another story and not one I think Parris is doing.

However, I do believe Parris is doing bad for the Reagan name.

You know, if you have a couple of net references on some of the articles, I would think you could be front page.

I liked the Walser story. It made sense. I also like the reference to fraud with the PDCs.

2. Good update. Notice the baiting and lurking Obama is doing regarding the Solis appointment to help the VP? I think Obama is trying to get Clinton so mad that she gives up the drive for VP nomination. Clinton fired Solis, so why should Clinton have to do Solis? A clear test to see if Clinton can toe the DalaiBama line of #@$@@?

Notice Obama on the shovel line to fill up sandbags? It took me just a short time to realize my back couldn't hold up to digging sand that way. The guy looked like a complete dufus.

Speaking of dufus, I had quite the e-mail exchange with my "I hate George Bush", Code Pink and moveon buddy. She seems to think Obama is intelligent and because he is intelligent, he can move off positions- in this case, reassess if we are pulling out of Iraq precipitously during his presidency. I go huh? This is same person who calls Romney a flip-flopper but not her guy.

There were a few f-bombs in there about Bush, too.

Then we talked Hillary. I know I would sleep better the next four months if she were the nominee, but she says she couldn't warm up to her. Again, I go huh? My head is spinning so much that I cannot call myself the Aflac duck after talking to Yogi, because now I feel like the dizzy Tazmanian devil of Bugs Bunny fame.

Well, I'll keep working on her.

I also ask her which Democrat she is voting for- Obama or McCain? It's Obama but I get no f-bombs back.
