Racism Extreme on MSNBC
by HairyBuddah, 10:14 PM, 2 Comments
Some poor reporterette on MSNBC started saying something really, really bad. Caught herself, and then stumbled away from her dangerous realization. Here is the direction she was going. Obama is winning states with very low black populations, particularly with lots of college kids and wealthy urban liberals. Obama is winning states with really large black populations. But the higher the percentage of blacks in the state, the lower percentage of white votes he wins. Think about that for a second.... [read more]

BELCH CARBON? YES! JUNE 12!
by LeCerveau, 01:48 PM, 2 Comments
GRASSFIRE.ORG HAS THIS TO SAY TO THE GLOBAL WARMING CRACKPOTS: The Daily Mail is reporting that Britain's Environmental Audit Committee is pushing the idea that "every adult should be forced to use a 'carbon ration card' when they pay for petrol, airline tickets or household energy." Climate Alarmism in England has gotten so bad that the British face the prospects of having to punch their "carbon card" every time they fill up or fly a plane! And don't think for... [read more]

The blogosphere is "Dunkin'" common sense over a scarf
by guitarplayr, 12:38 AM, 3 Comments
Again, I apologize, I seem to have been missing for another week or so.  Life is like that, sometimes.  Chalk it up to some needed down time and a family reunion. So one of the 'big' stories on my return to the blog world was the whole Rachel Ray kerfluffle over her scarf? So initially I assumed there was some dark sinister message hidden in her headgear, but then I saw the picture you see to the right. And... [read more]

A common Sense Approach To End Illegal Immigration
by TrueSoldier, 08:25 PM, 3 Comments
Last night I was talking with some of the guys I work with. We were talking about the problems of illegal immigration, the costs involved and just the overall lack of any real enforcement on the books. After that I sat down and came up with the following plan that I feel will help put an end to illegal immigration: My 4 step plan to eliminate Illegal Immigration: 1) Cut off social services to illegals. They can still get truly... [read more]

Obama's uncle did what?
by LeCerveau, 06:42 AM, 6 Comments
Barrack Obama's relative, first identified as an uncle, then a nephew, and now a 'great' uncle, was at Auschwitz and helped liberate this awful Nazi Concentration Camp; this all according to the lead Presidential hopeful of the Democratic Party. Therefore, Barrack's uncle was with the first US troops that liberated a Nazi Concentration camp according to Obama. Problem? Well his 'great' uncle would have had to be a member of the advanced Spetznaz 'Shock Troop Squadron' in the lead elements... [read more]

Goodloe-Johnson: Goals without stragegies
by Lobolita, 05:05 AM, 1 Comments
The Seattle school district is enjoying a froth of media attention over Dr. Goodloe-Johnson's new plans (pdf) for improvement. Unfortunately, the plans offer plenty of goals, but are thin on concrete strategies to reach those goals. This is a constant problem in Washington State public schools, where those in leadership envision fantastic outcomes, but seem consistently unable to meet them. I've started a new blog, WashingtonEdblog.com, to cover education issues in Washington State. As a high school teacher with decidedly... [read more]

Which one will Rossi cut?
by tpahl, 08:21 PM, 15 Comments
Here is a list of state agencies. Which ones has Rossi proposed we cut? None. And yet we are told by his campaign that he is for small government. I think his theory is that if he points out Gregoire raised spending by 33% he is free to not only keep it at that elevated level but continue to raise it another 32% because it is better than her. I will only support candidates that give proposals that would cut... [read more]

Sexpresso continues to flourish, and draws a local protest
by guitarplayr, 01:48 AM, 10 Comments
The sexpresso craze I first blogged about here, and then again here, continues to grow and flourish here in the Pacific Northwest, the home of Starbucks, the unofficial caffeine capital of the US. The concept is really a no brainer.  Dress the baristas up in sexy clothes and see if they draw business. Duh.  Of course they will.  You don't really think Hooters is still around for the food do you?  Seriously? The latest craze started when a Bonney Lake mom, kids in... [read more]

OBAMA: WRONG ON IRAN
by LeCerveau, 09:12 PM, 0 Comments
By DICK MORRIS & EILEEN MCGANN Copyright FOXNews.com on May 16, 2008. President Bush is absolutely right to criticize sharply direct negotiations with Iranian President Ahmadinejad. Barack Obama's embrace of the idea of direct negotiations is both naïve and dangerous and should be a big issue in the campaign. The reason not to negotiate with Ahmadinejad is not simply to stand on ceremony or some kind of policy of non-recognition. It is based on the fundamental need to topple his... [read more]
