You think you are suffering in King County? You should have our arrogant young monster as County Executive: Aaron Reardon! Boss Reardon, Snohomish County's own copy of Boss Sims, has gone over the line and abandoned his phony image as the personification of a typical 'Henry Jackson moderate Democrat' in order to embrace his own 'cult of personality'. Word has it that Boss Reardon has been in a very testy mood lately after he received word that Congressman Rick Larsen is NOT going to step down and retire. Reardon wanted that job. Now Rick Bart is running for it and likely to win, leaving Reardon with no where to take his political career away from the increasingly crime ridden streets of downtown Everett and a County Council run by the environmental extremist Dave Somers, who thinks he should be County Executive. Plus, John Koster is going to run for County Executive next time out and Reardon is very worried about that. Reardon did not mention his future plans at a very private 'big money' fund raiser he held last week. Gee, ain't politics a 'contact' sport?
Anyway here is BOSS Reardon's GREEN regurgitational contribution to the 'global warming' fraud: (Readers are advised that this press release could contain 'questionable' content not meant to be read by persons with an IQ above room temperature!)
County's climate task force meets April 28
Snohomish County's Green Ribbon Climate Task Force will meet again Monday, April 28.
Appointed by County Executive Aaron Reardon, the task force is a group of community members and leaders, whose purpose is to develop a plan for adapting to climate change in part by reducing local greenhouse-gas emissions 20 percent below year 2000 levels by 2020.
This month, the committee will be reviewing Snohomish County's emissions inventory and highlighting several of the county's green initiatives. The meeting will be from 1 to 4 p.m. in the First Floor Conference Room of the East Administration Building, 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.
Members of the group represent organizations and local governments including Built Green, the Everett Clinic, Puget Sound Energy, Community Transit, Climate Solutions, Puget Sound Clean Air Agency, the Port of Everett, Washington Trucking Association, Comcast, Sno/Sky Agricultural Alliance, Pacific Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters, Cedar Grove Composting, the Snohomish County PUD, Johns Monroe Mitsunaga PLLC, the Tulalip Tribes, the city of Everett and the city of Edmonds
Also serving from the Snohomish County Council are Dave Somers and Mike Cooper.
The group typically will meet the fourth Monday of each month throughout 2008.
All meetings of the task force are open to the public. For more information, visit www.snoco.org and search "Green Ribbon Climate Task Force."
End of Reardon Press release!
Except for companies that were badgered into being on the commission all you have are Corporations with their pig snouts on the public dole or the unions and tribes. Reardon's tough guys may be good at intimidation but let's face it selling global warming to folks with half a brain is a reach, even for them. That is why that list is VERY SHORT on important Snohomish County organizations/corporations and DOES NOT INCLUDE Boeing!
In addition to Reardon there is Snohomish County Council's strong arm, leg breaking, enforcer Dave Somers, now suffering from an attack of megalomania and a long term dose of Paul Brainerdism. Dave has exhibited some of the following symptoms: feelings of euphoria and invincibility, lack of political inhibitions, talkativeness, risk taking, and irritability with Republicans; sort of a case of left wing EGO MANIA. After receiving his marching orders from Futurewise, Somers has decided to purge all vestiges of Republicanism from the halls of the Snohomish County Council. This is evidenced by the recent firing of Ed Moats (see below), the only intelligent person left there with the exception of Republican Councilman John Koster and his immediate entourage. Well, dumbing down the Council Chambers does make sense to the Democratic Three Stooges on the Council (Somers, Cooper and Sullivan). How else can they do anything at all and expect everyone around them to not hold their noses or avoid throwing up on the new carpets?
Even Jerry Cornfield, the (Washington Post owned) Everett Herald's spy inside the Washington State Democratic Party, is trying to start a war between Koster and the Three Stooges on the County Council. His weekly piece in Sunday's rag contained the following statement: "Did his firing (Ed Moats) happen legally? Councilman John Koster, the lone Republican, doesn't think so. He abstained from voting Wednesday and told his colleagues he considered their action "null and void" because he believed they violated the state's law on open meetings."
Cornfield ends by writing: "Moats is leaving this week. He may return with a lawyer."
Can you blame him?
