Question: Why are they raising the toll on the new Tacoma Narrows Bridge?

You still have some money, and they want it.

Alternate answer:  Because they think you will let them.

It's not your money. And if you stand up for it, then David Goldstein is going to call you a Nazi and wonder out loud how you could be so callous as to want to keep some of your hard earned money.

You be glad they don't raise it another dollar! Oh wait, that's going to happen in the next year or two. Something has to pay for that bridge because Olympia is too busy squandering the rest of the budget.
