Hispanic VP Candidate?

PORTLAND, Ore., March 21 -- New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson offered a strong endorsement of Barack Obama for president Friday, appealing for peace in the Democratic Party and hailing the Illinois senator as a unifying force for the country.
"Your candidacy is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our country, and you are a once-in-a-lifetime leader," said Richardson, the nation's only Hispanic governor, before a cheering crowd of about 12,000 in Portland's Memorial Coliseum. "You will make every American proud to be an American."

Well, I guess that sounds good, the problem is that most Hispanics are not going to vote for anyone who supports gays or gay marriage! I love that every American proud to be an American comment. That is, if they are legally here and are US citizens. I fail to understand why the Demo-nuts don't understand that.

Oh, polls out today show that a very high percentage of Hillary lovers will vote for McCain if she loses to O-bama!

1. I know that my wife's Grandmother (who is a big Hillary supporter)has said that she will vote for McCain if Hillary looses, so that poll does not surprise me. I think that if the Obama and Hillary continue their brawl going all the way up to and through the convention we will see more of either supporters not wanting to support the other candidate and either stay home or vote for McCain.

I also had a discussion with another contractor yesterday, who is a die hard Democrat. He hates Bush and thinks that Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever; yet he told me that he will be voting for McCain this November due to how both Hillary and Obama want to pull out of Iraq. Now this is just one person and I have no idea how many Democrats may feel this way (if any) and this may just be him looking at job security more than anything. I just thought it was intresting.

On another note, another contractor had an intresting thought. He posed the question of could it be possible that come the convention if neither Hillary or Obama have the advantage (and we no neither side will yield to the other unless they feel it is hopeless) could it be possible that the delegates end up nominating Edwards instead? I say this is intresting as Foxnews.com has the following headline:

Report: Edwards Not Expected to Endorse Either Democrat (http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/03/22/report-edwards-not-expected-to-endorse-either-democrat/)

Of course this could also be Edwards way of not taking sides so that whoever prevails he can hope for them to nominate him as VP.

2. Maybe Edwards thinks he will be the antidote to the bloodbath and hopes for the nod. He could be saving his thunder until later for more effect.

They had to trot out Richardson due to the negative press of Obama. Probably sooner than they hoped.

Then there is the Neantherdal in the closet who is biding his time- Al Gore. I suspect it will be Edwards for Clinton and then Gore will come out for Obama to counter.

As for Gore for President, I think he enjoys his millions dollars/month he is scamming with his GW scare, and he won't run.
