Doing the Delegate Math: An Accurate Approach

So I've been trying to figure out the actual delegate count for the GOP side of things, and the news outlets are no help because they all have different numbers. Henceforth, I attempted a little digging for myself. Here's what I found after about five minutes of searching:

All the news outlets are reporting different numbers for McCain's delegate count. These are the actual numbers. Many are just assuming, for instance, that McCain will take all the rest of Washington State's delegates that are up for grabs--this cannot be assumed. I know many people who are vying to go all the way to National Convention, and they are hard-core Huckabee supporters.

A brokered convention is highly possible, folks. I believe it is highly possible for Huckabee to come out the GOP nominee if we go to a brokered convention.

1. Huckabee should be able to drop out now. He has more delegates than Romney. Delegate Envy? is now over; he beat Romney's count.
