Here's a piece that goes to show how far inside the BDS bubble a lot of libs in the fossilized media live. I give you the Washington Posts's own, E.J. Dionne as printed in today's Times:

WASHINGTON -- The turmoil in the Republican presidential contest, which seems to produce a new front-runner every week, owes to President Bush's unpopularity and the fact that even members of his own party want to turn the page on the past seven years.
Right off the bat we have a generally dumb thesis: It's Bush's fault there's no clear frontrunner. Riiiight. It has nothing to do with the fact that the GOP top 4 looks like this:
*A pro-abortion, tough on crime big city mayor;
*A socially arch conservative, fiscally liberal small state governor;
*A foreign policy hawk, liberal on illegal immigration Senator;
*A venture capitalist who happened to be the governor of arguably the most liberal state in the Union.
Obviously, the churn in the party is due to the fact that we don't have a one-size fits all candidate on the ballot. I think 99% of Republicans agree that if you took a piece here and there from each guy on that list and merged it into one person, you'd have something that everyone could get behind, unanimously.
But unlike the democrat party, where diversity is only appreciated if you dye your hair blue or have some other millimeter deep difference between you and the next guy, here in the GOP we value diversity of thought and action. The democrats have no true ideas or agendas to follow, only their BDS and platitudes.
The democrats don't have this problem because all their candidates are empty suits mouthing the exact same platitudes. It's no wonder that Seattle-area liberals don't have any understanding at all of the GOP or what goes on inside it; the local papers merely regurge the same-old, same-old for public consumption.
I'd paste more, but it's more of the same kind of deep thinking that just resonates from the opening paragraph.
I've definitely noticed that the democrats pretty much say the same thing, except in different tones of voice and a few racial, sexist remarks and a couple pity parties thrown in.
