If you are a registered voter in Snonomish County, you probably have your ballot by now.
I will not fill mine out. I won't even open it.
I am going to vote in person [pdf] at one of the "disabled access voting sites." There are nine DAVs (all at area libraries) where you can vote on the voting machine, in person, without ever touching a paper ballot, let alone dropping one off in the mail or at one of the 20 "community collection centers."
All locations are open Thursday, August 16 through Monday, August 20 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, August 21 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Many of the campaigns and party activists don't like me saying this. They prefer people vote by mail, and do it right away, to make sure that you do, in fact, vote. I imagine that most people who, like me, will take the extra effort to vote in person are the sort of people who will not fail to vote; however, if you think you may forget, then go ahead and vote by mail. It's not great, but it's better than not voting.
