Excellent online interview by Sharon Hughes of Changing Worldviews. Encore presentation of a 2004 interview with Steve Beren, who was a socialist and antiwar protestor during the Vietnam era.

Beren, a Seattle-based speaker and writer, later became the Republican congressional candidate against far left Democratic incumbent Jim McDermott.

In this broadcast, Beren tells Hughes how he became a radical leftist as a high school student in the 1960s. He gives insight into the inner workings and true motives of extremist antiwar organizers, with lessons from the history of past wars and past antiwar movements. And Beren tells how he quit the socialist movement in 1990, later becoming a Christian and conservative political activist.
