FBI: Extremists Signing Up to Be School Bus Drivers

Foxnews.com has got the story here.

The story points out that counter terror officials, to include DHS and FBI, has discovered that members of extremist groups are signing up to be school bus drivers. It goes on to say that parents and children should not be worried.

he FBI's Rich Kolko said "there are no threats, no plots and no history leading us to believe there is any reason for concern," although law enforcement agencies around the country were asked to watch out for kids' safety.

Well I do not know about the rest of you, but the thought of a terrorist in control of a school bus that they could easily rig as a huge car bomb and then load it with children is quite a plausible plot if they are in fact school bus drivers. The terrorists have proven time and again in Iraq that they do not care if they kill children, so I think you could call that a bit of a history.

1. All it would take is one detonated school bus to change the course drastically. The "Party of The Children" wouldn't even be able to deny such a horror.

2. I always wonder, when reading idiotic statements from public officials, if they would be willing to bet a few of their body parts that they are right. If we wake up one Tuesday morning to news of a dozen full schoolbuses having been driven off of cliffs in cities across the country, do we get anything more out of Mr. Kolko but a lame, "Well, I wasn't presented with all the facts"?

4. Of course, remembering some of the cheeky things we did as kids while riding the yellow limosine, even a sane, well-balanced bus driver would want to blow up everybody on board.
"Sit down and shut-up!"

5. Another reason I'm glad my kids haven't darkened the door of a public school for several years now.

6. If this story doesn't make people think about home schooling, I don't know what would.

7. It's not the "detonating" of a school bus that we should be concerned about, but rather a taking of the school bus full of hostages or a "Beslan" style taking of an entire school, when Chechen Islamists aligned with AlQeada took control of the school in Chechnya. It resulted in almost 300 casualties, half of which were children.
