PI reports on huge anti-war protest!

The Seattle PI today ran a 300+ word story under the headline "Anti-war protest held at federal building".

The second paragraph begins with the phrase, "Nearly 20 protesters from various Puget Sound-area peace groups gathered at the Jackson Federal Building..."

That's right. Fewer than 20 people. Good thing the PI was on it.

1. Fewer than 20....that's a kind way of saying almost no one showed up. Two is fewer than 20. If there were less than 20 why didn't the reporter count them?

Notice the lie from Osama Mama's mouthpiece? She didn't vote against the "surge" on Saturday, she voted for cloture, to end debate. But of course the leftist MSM paints it as the R's want to end debate.

2. How did I know that this would be the outcome. Of course this is typical of the PI and it just goes to show the reality of the size of the anti-war movement.

3. After rereading the article I noticed at the end they had a list of upcoming protests and this one caught my eye and made me laugh

Thursday: Starting at 11 a.m., protesters will hold a "die-in" for a rally called "We Will Not Be Silent."

So they are going to die and not be silent....need I say more.

4. I guess "nearly 20" sounds more imposing than "14".

6. I suspect we won't soon be seeing a PI story where the lede is, "Nearly 40 Republicans from neighborhoods throughout Seattle gathered for the 36th District Republican Party monthly meeting..."

Despite the fact that in Seattle it would be more newsworthy than a handful of war protestors...

7. Aw, come on. That is a huge turnout when you consider that no free spliff was passed out. Besides, psych facility "dump day" is on Friday, and so the best anti-war turnouts are correspondingly on Saturdays.

And then they all show up in my ER seeking meds. So it goes...

8. I think a "die-in" would be much more effective if the protestors actually died.

Can someone suggest that to them?

9. Almost an emergency by this legislatures measure I'll bet!

Call out the national Guard!

They are all too busy legislating against the initiative process and Tim Eyman to worry about terrorism or Iraq.

10. No, they're all too busy worrying about erectile disfunction, cholesterol, and their 401(k)'s.
