I saw this letter in the Daily Olympian today. It just goes to prove how us vets have always known the left feels about the military.
Veterans Day was confusing this year
Veterans Day amazed me.
On Thursday, I went to the Thurston County Sheriff's Department about 3:45 p.m. to get some paperwork done that I had not found the time to do recently. The sign there said they quit taking such work at 3 p.m.
Great. Then the gentleman told me that he would close on Friday in honor of Veterans Day. Humph.
On Saturday morning, I received an anxiously awaited for overnight FedEx delivery of a loan check and dutifully went to a local bank notorious for being open Saturday morning to cash the check to buy a car. When I arrived there a sign said closed for Veterans Day. Humph.
As an entrepreneur, I find scarce time to tend to business hours matters. Why can't veterans receive special treatment on Veterans Day from those they served?
