Demonstrating how NOW is working to destroy moral values of this nation.

National Organization of Women has become an association of people who are working to recreate society in their twisted world view of relative morality. In this column I want to demonstrate how this organization wants to demean men, and place women on a pedestal above reproach and in a place which men are not allowed to work to become better people.

NOW has long been upset with a group of men called Promise Keepers. This is a nationwide group of men who want to work to improve their relationships with God, society in general and women in particular. The group has seven promises they work to keep, mostly centered on their devotion to and love of Jesus Christ. One promise they have committed to is, "A Promise Keeper is committed to building strong marriages and families through love, protection and biblical values."

This sort of thing is upsetting to NOW, particularly the statement of biblical values. In the column they point out that Promise Keepers cites Ephesians chapter 5 verse 22. From the King James Bible, "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord." The women at now believe this is a call to have women return to the turn of the 20th century and stay home have kids and work in the kitchen. I don't know what more the women of NOW could do to take this further out of context.

Building strong marriages and families based on biblical values doesn't mean taking one verse out of context and then forcing women into submission with it. That verse from Paul in Ephesians is followed by the followed by verse 25, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it." Could that be any more clear about how to treat your wife and by extension your family? Give yourself for your wives and by extension your family. Talk about total commitment!

NOW wants women to believe that homosexuals of both genders will be persecuted by people who are associated with Promise Keepers. They also think that women who suffer abuse at the hands of men will not be taken seriously or out right rejected, as the authors stated in the column. Is this a realistic belief? It is not because someone who is working in his life to learn and follow the teachings of the New Testament, which Promise Keepers does, they would have empathy for anyone who suffers any kind of abuse and although they and I believe homosexuality is a sin, they and I still love the sinner and accept them as a person.

This is not good enough for NOW, as they are on a mission to remake society, where morals are relative. Society in NOW's view must not only see homosexuality as a way of life but also as morally equal to heterosexuality. It is not enough to live along side gays and lesbians, we must accept their agenda, and that is what NOW not only wants but demands.

To achieve this, NOW has painted it self, willingly mind you, into a corner in which they must work toward the destruction of men working toward being better people, better husbands, more apart of a more moral society.

Men who work toward improving relationships with God, women, and families, should be supported by NOW. Men who love the women in their lives like Christ loves his church, don't force women into barefooted pregnancy or back into the home. They support them, encourage them to succeed in the home and at work. They support the careers of women in their lives and respect them as the valuable individuals they are. Is it not in women's best interest to be with men who are better fathers, husbands, and brothers?

P.S. I am not a member of Promise Keepers.

1. I know exactly what's going on here. Promise Keepers has an agenda to improve men and thereby bless their families. If husands and wives actually start living out the way of godly order that God has laid out, guess who's not happy about that? Guess who sees it as getting in the way of a dark agenda? So the ultimate tool is to use women to smear the good message of Promise Keepers (kind of like using women to convince other women to kill their unborn children to solve a "problem"--brilliant but evil). Women ultimately benefit from Promise Keepers, but in order to stop that, women are used to discredit PK. Clever, but evil.

My advice to men who commit themselves to the message of Promise Keepers: stay with it and ignore the ridiculous charges meant to keep women and families from being blessed by what such committed men are trying to do. It'll be worth it.

2. There are a lot worse groups that men could belong to than Promise Keepers.

Notice that NOW and the gang say nothing about this Islamist Leader's Comments on Women.

NOW is a left wing hate group that denigrates women who don't buy into their agenda. The link above it to Tammy Bruce's website (she quotes the Australian paper that published these comments) she used to belong to NOW and is very honest in her criticism of the group and it's motives.

3. Oh, I meant to include that Darcy Burner is endorsed by NOW. According to her website these are Burner's Endorsements .

My mom always said that your friends say a lot about you. You can tell by the people that Darcy has attracted, she isn't someone that you would want to be your friend.

4. Thanks for the feed back. I don't think NOW is exactly after PK because of anything other than their fear that men and women who live together will usually not need an abortion.

The worry for NOW is that if there is a surge in conservatism when it comes to family, the right to instant abortion, partial birth abortion, abortion for kids with out parental notification, and so on will be limited. This terrifies them.

I say lets keep terrifying them!
