So you're liberal and only ever vote for the leftwing candidate in a political race. If you live in the 8th and only ever vote for the liberal, and are grudgingly filling in the oval for the less-than-stellar Darcy Burner, then wait----have I got a candidate for YOU.

Enter Keith Arnold--a guy who ran an ad in the King County Journal today (Sunday 10-22) who is running as an independent (because he has to, of course; the dem primary is over) write-in candidate and is making an appeal to liberals/democrats for their vote .

If you are in the political center or anywhere to the right of center, or only a mildly committed democrat, then this is not the candidate for you; stick with Congressman Reichert and you'll do just fine. But if you only ever vote for the leftwing candidates, then take a look at Arnold. He speaks democrat-ese and obviously hates republicans, if you read his ad. He clearly wants to be identified as a democrat but can't run under the label for obvious reasons. But without coming right out and saying so, he doesn't want you to vote for Burner--because HE wants your vote.

He looks to be older than Burner, which can be a plus for libs looking for a candidate with more life experience than she has. He also claims to live in S. King County, have an accounting degree, and to have worked for the federal government during the Clinton years. His ad copy shows he is clearly a fan of the impeached former president.

If he'd posted a website address or snailmail address or phone number, I'd give it to you. But he didn't. But hey, don't let that stop you; if you are a lefty and had planned to vote for Burner--switch! and instead write in the name of Keith Arnold, independent (because he can't call himself a democrat, but we get his drift, wink wink). I know he'll appreciate it. And remember, Arnold wants you to tell your liberal friends and neighbors, too.
