This afternoon on Orbusmax.com there was a link to a blog posting of Dave Ross's producer Tina Nole If A + B = C...Then.... Ms. Nole was kind enough to put a previous post called "We Will Not Be Silenced" however she doesn't allow comments on her blog except by members of her team, so apparently she prefers to silence those that might disagree with her. Since Ms. Nole didn't want comments on her site, I decided to put my comments here.

Okay, the difference here is that we have laws against rape in this country. We as a society punish the men that violate their victims. Sometimes the law doesn't do enough, but prosecutors and victims advocates do their best to bring these monsters to justice. We don't normally have demonstrations in the streets in our country to complain about the lack of justice. We also don't have swarms of marchers, rioters, or revelers cheering the death of astronauts, victims of muslim violence, or the beheading of adulterous women! The benefits of a civilization that has progressed past the 7th century!

Now if you want to complain about rape, a method of conquest advocated in the Koran you should include in your condemnation the honor killings and the rapes that are adjudicated in sharia courts in muslim countries. There is a desire of many muslims to have sharia law in many western countries that they reside in, we don't need special privileges for a religion that refuses to recognize the rights of people that are not members of their faith.

Where is the condemnation from the left for the brutalization, subjugation, and devaluation of women in the muslim world? I don't see it, I also don't see condemnation from the supposed moderate muslims for the deeds committed in the name of their religion by supposed extremists. It is like Diogenes looking for an honest man, he never found one. There are many that are looking for a non-violent muslim, and they too are having a hard time finding one that will actually admit to not wishing all the Jews dead or all the kafir under muslim rule.

You are right the big picture should be looked at, however don't forget to listen to the words of the practitioners of the religion of peace that are using it to condemn and threaten all who are not of the right religion. Listen to al qeda's latest diatribe to the west courtesy of Adam Gadan, basically telling the west to be converted to islam or die. Hmmm.. the big picture looks like islam isn't a religion of freedom, peace or choice. Of course remember under sharia law a woman has to have at least two witnesses to her rape or she can be stoned as an adulteress. The big picture isn't pretty when you look at the practitioners of islam.
