Clintonistas Don't Need 9/11 Miniseries to Make Them Look Bad

Deepti Hajela of the Dissociated Press reports that in a classic demonstration of hypocrisy, high-profile former Clinton administration officials have come out against Disney/ABC regarding their upcoming miniseries, "The Path to 9/11".

Madeline Albright (Clinton's incompetent Secretary of State), Sandy Berger (Clinton's treasonous National Security Advisor), Bruce Lindsay (head of the revisionist Clinton Foundation) and Douglas Band (vacuous Clinton advisor) have expressed their concern over inaccuracies that they say were found in the movie.

Lindsey and Band complain that, "By ABC's own standard, ABC has gotten it terribly wrong." (Well, come on, dudes. This is Disney/ABC we're talking about. What did you expect?) Jay Carson, spokesman for the Clinton Foundation, said:

"ABC/Disney acknowledges this show is fiction and in direct contradiction of the 9-11 commission report and the facts, and it is despicable that ABC/Disney would insist on airing a fictional version of what is a serious and emotional event for our country..."

The reader will not fail to note the supreme irony of Mr. Carson's statement. One need only recall the extreme maneuvering by these same members of the Clinton administration in their efforts to cover their own criminally-negligent and treasonous asses during the 9/11 Commission hearings. Yet in all fairness, they do have a point. Disney is not accurately portraying the Clinton Administration's feckless actions which ultimately caused the deaths of more than 3,000 Americans five years ago. The Clinton administration was far more criminally negligent than the movie relates.

Carter further declares in faux outrage,

"It is unconscionable to mislead the American public about one of the most horrendous tragedies our country has ever known."

(Mr. Carter fails to note that the people whom he represents are guilty of the same thing.)

Let us start with the two principle operators in this drama: Madeline Albright and Sandy Berger.

While Madeline Albright insisted in her statement to the 9/11 Commission that the State Department made counterterrorism their centerpiece, the record shows that when Paul Bremer suggested adding Afghanistan to the list of recognized state sponsors of terrorism Albright refused on the grounds that such a move would be tantamount to recognizing the Taliban as a legitimate government. Albright stated that recognition of the Taliban as a legitimate government was a carrot she dangled in front of Afghanistan in hopes that the Taliban would cooperate with the Clinton administration's policy on terrorism. History relates that the Clinton administration's policy in dealing with nations who sponsored terrorism consistently fell short of taking effective action against those nations. Albright's role in shaping the State Department's toothless policy regarding Afghanistan effectively provided the time that bin Laden needed to plan and execute the 9/11 attacks.

Furthermore, Albright refused to support military action against Afghanistan after the USS Cole bombing, because she placed world opinion about a proposed retaliatory strike as more important than defending the security of the United States. So while Afghanistan continued to support bin Laden with real estate and materiel, the Clinton administration continued to fritter away its security for the sake of looking good to the very Muslim nations who hated America and supported al Qaeda.

Sandy Berger is the other chief rogue in our gallery. Berger forbade the exchange of information from military intelligence gathered by the Able Danger team to law enforcement officials that, had it been allowed, could have led to the arrests of the al Qaeda team that was responsible for the 9/11 outrage. His obstruction of an effective counterterrorist action was probably motivated by the prevailing attitude within the administration at that time. Remember, the Clinton administration was roundly and venomously blamed for Janet Reno's criminal overreaction to and the horrifying end of the Branch Davidian standoff in Waco, Texas, and for Reno's inexcusable approval use of paramilitary force to remove a young Cuban boy from his unarmed relatives. After these two disasters, the Clinton administration was not about to pull another paramilitary operation against a group of religious zealots. This fear of "looking bad" is probably what motivated Berger to scotch the efforts of the DOD to share vital information with the DOJ. Because of Berger's actions, the al Qaeda attacks were pulled off when it is very likely that they could have been stopped. This effectively makes Berger an accomplice to the murders of 3,000 Americans.

And it was Sandy Berger who was caught sneaking incriminating documents, probably referring to the Able Danger operation, out of the National Archives just after DOD officials began to increase the 9/11 Commission's interest in counterterrorist intelligence-gathering activities during the Clinton administration. Without the introduction of those documents, Madeline Albright was free to make all the claims about the effectiveness of the Clinton administration that she wanted. Thanks to Berger, there was no evidence available to refute her claims, and the Clinton administration got a free pass when the 9/11 Commission released its report with no mention of the Able Danger operations that subsequently were proven to have taken place.

Clinton Foundation spokesman Jay Carson writes that "No reputable organization should dramatize 9-11 for a profit at the expense of the truth." Let the reader note Mr. Carson's use of the word "reputable." The clever addition of that word evidently excuses anyone in the Clinton administration from such accountability and restraint. Nice loophole there, Mr. Carson. But given all that we now know about the Clinton administration's criminal neglect in refusing to neutralize a known threat to American citizens, Albright and Berger certainly don't need Disney/ABC's help with looking bad. Along with Jamie Gorelick and Janet Reno, Albright and Berger will be forever remembered as the four people most responsible for allowing the al Qaeda attack to proceed from planning to horrific execution.

1. The bad news here is that this is the worst kind of censorship and it's bad for the US. The good news is that you can't buy this kind of preelection marketing. This good news is that this is a major the nail in the coffin for Democrats chances this November.

The hypocrisy is staggering.

2. You are such a dumbsh*t.

You need to do some more research on the efforts that the Clinton Adminstration attempted to Kill Bin Laden as you were all screaming "Wag the Dog".
And the warnings given to Bush before he took office, about him that wer ignored, as they ramped up for Iraq.
You seem to forget that this happen during the Drunk cowboys administration. with plenty of warnings.
For god sakes I hope you are not really an ER Nurse. very scary to think that fools such as you are in charge of any life and death situation.

3. Two things:

1) These same people had NO problem with Michael Moore totally taking footage out of context and making up stuff far worse than we'd ever in the ABC movie. I don't recall President Bush threatening Michael Moore with anything. He let free speech be free speech. I don't see that in play at all here with the Dems. They have no concept of this
whatsoever.

2) The Dems really goofed up on this one in making such a screechy commotion about it. I wasn't going to watch to movie originally, but after hearing so much about it I decided that I will watch it after all. I heard other people say the same thing! they should have kept their yaps shut, methinks.

4. Danw, I don't recall Algore saying a word about terrorism during his campaign. I DO remember Winnie Winnebago, though--remember the woman he said couldn't buy medicine? And it turned out her son is quite well off and wasn't helping her. I think she even didn't want his help. She preferred to mooch off everyone else, including the tax dollars of people who were less well off than her wealthy son. Weird. Clinton really did not make much noise about all the attacks on Americans abroad or even the WTC in '93. Dick Morris, Clinton advisor at the time, said it was because Clinton didn't want much attention given to National Security because Clinton felt insecure about his national security abilities. Makes sense to me.

5. ..Danw, quit calling people dumb___t. That stuff isn't appreciated over here like it is over at HA. You'll feel much more welcome over there. They swim in that stuff all day long.

6. Michele hit the nail on the head. The Dem's didn't want to censor Michael Moore or for that matter they did not even want to censor that horrible tv movie about Reagan that made him look bad. Dem's are all about freedom of speech only when it suits their speech.

Danw. You may want to actually look at the 9/11 report where they actually document Clintons attempts to kill Bin Laden that where called off at the last minute do to the fear of political consequences and possible collateral damages. It in Chapter 4. Also, Bin Laden refers directly to Clintons pull out of Somalia (where I lost alot of good friends) as proof that America had become a paper tiger. This and all the other instances of CLintons lack of actually taking the fight to the terrorists (launching cruise missles at caves and asprin factories dont really work) are what gave Al Qaeda it's belief that they could actaully win a war against the US. Also, in case you didn't know this movie does show the failures of the Bush administration in the lead up to 9/11. It shows how terroirsm was not their first priority. So why should it be censored just to make the Clinton Administration look good? It's because the Dem's are worried that if the truth gets out there chances in November will be hurt.

7. The Dems and the left are showing their true colors. The DNC website has "Stop the 911 Propaganda Film" as the first item. Senate Dems are threatening ABC and citing the 1934 Communications Act. The Daily Kos is advocating protests against ABC, Disney, and Apple. This is probably the best example I've ever seen of the left revealing exactly who they are. They don't stand for free speech, they want to crush it. I hope this backfires on them, big time.

Good post. Wish I'd said it.

10. Be nice to the Libs, it has taken them a long long time to really absorb how to hate so deeply!

It is the only thing they know

It is the only thing they have to offer

It's the only platform they are running on.

The more it is wagged, the more the rabbid dog demohating party will be put to rest.

11. You know when you get lefties like danw spewing profanity that this has hit a nerve. This will go down as one of the worst moves of this election season. If not one of the worst political miscalculations in many years.

Fired up Republican base. Check.
Solidify Dems as the party of intolerance. Check.
Solidify Dems as suppressors of free speech. Check.
Provide a timely talking point for Republican candidates. Check.
Further disgrace the Clinton name destroying Hillary's already flimsy chances at a run for President. Check.
Show ABC just how much untapped potential there is in more conservative programming. Check.

This was going to be a minor issue, largely a blow over. A mostly unwatched program. Now you'll have folks scouring the Internet file sharing sites and buying the DVD to find out what the comotion was about. But Dems are so arrogant, they never know when to keep quiet. I didn't think they could top Michael Moore in '04, but this is a fantastic effort.

I'm going to start right now with a prediction that Republicans keep control of the House and Senate.

Posted by: Jeff B. on September 8, 2006 11:00 PM
12. I'm going to make a donation to the Republican party in danw's name. I already made one to Joe lieberman's camp just because the libs like Danw threw him to the wind, and he was one of the few and I mean few libs that have a clue how to protect this country.

The Libs answer to protection from terrorism, is a Cigar in Clinton's presidential suite, or healthcare for everone.

I'll tell you this, you won't to need healthcare if the democraps are put in charge of terrorism...You'll need a burial plot!

Guaranteed!

13. Danw, read the 9/11 report, especially part 4.1, which covers Madeline Albright's prepared testimony. She damns herself.

Sandy Berger stole Classified Documents from the National Archives.

You can call me anything you want, but the truth is that you have no defense for these people except to call names. Pretty sad, really.

14. Methinks that "danw" is yet another incarnation of one of the leftie trolls that haunts Sound Politics. The poor spelling, profanity, and name calling can be seen in repeated posts under various anonymous monikers. I agree ERNurse, it's pretty sad.

15. Let the Clinton's continue to play the scorched earth policy game - which they got away with innumberable times when they were in power. I am not a Bush admirer, but can see that the Dems have nothing as good to offer, and besides I detested Clinton's abuse of power while in the oval orifice. I hope that ABC goes forward and shows it and edits it where appropriate. All of the grandstanding here by the Clinton's and Democrat leadership will hurt them in upcoming elections, but they don't seem to care if they shoot themselves in the foot.

Good post - Someone should take this and post it over at HA.org just to stir up the moonbats like danw and his ilk and maybe some will see how stupid they look. My hope is that this pillories Hillary !

16. DanW,

As far as your crack about me being an actual ER nures is concerned: Yes, I am in fact an ER nurse.

You may even have met me during your sojourns with the Tent City when you ran out of your psych meds and needed a refill on the public dime. We get a lot of the Democrat voter base in my ER, especially around the third week of the month, after they've spent all your DSHS funds on Thinderbird. The DTs can be hell, huh?

17. Correction: "Thunderbird."

18. Talk about not wanting free speech?

Friday afternoon release from the Senate (ever notice how Bush love to send bad news over the weekend)
IRAQ NO LINK TO AL QAEDA. But we have been telling you this for years.
You think because we want Bush to actually go after the real terrorists, we are not patriotic? That you think just trying to bomb a billion muslims back to the stoneage is the only solution, is ridiculous.

About Clinton. Is that always the only way you can protect this inept, crooked administration?

Clinton was Republican light anyway, he had to change to get into the money game.
But to say 9/11 was his fault?

Let's see what he actually tried to do.

http://www.makethemaccountable.com/myth/ClintonAndTerrorism.htm

PS ERNURSE because you and your Ilk only value money makers and "Producers". I am pretty sure I made more last month, than you have all year. Thank god you have a Union protecting you, or you would be living in a tent city. I'll be looking to pick up your home on a repo soon, when you bust the union, to save that $30.00 monthly charge.

PPS And those of you who are offended by a little profane language, get real and take a look at the coffins and wounded young people coming home from Iraq...now that is profanity.

19. danw doesn't fundamentally understand the war on terror. Doesn't understand that we have to fight terrorism where it lives. Doesn't want to admit that we have not had a terrorist attack on our soil for 5 years. Doesn't understand that those Americans dying in Iraq do so for a cause they believe in.

"Profanity", danw, is thousands of innocent unborn babies dying for nothing every year, a "profanity" that the left seems perfectly content to live with.

Posted by: Bill Cruchon on September 10, 2006 11:05 AM
20. DanW, you parody yourself, for you know nothing about me, my motivations or my affiliations. How typical of you.

I don't care if you make a hundred times more than I do in a single day. It doesn't make you immune to death.

So I hope you have fun. By all means- enjoy yourself! Do whatever brings you your sense of fulfillment and satisfaction, whatever helps you to understand why you exist and who you exist for. Call your worldview whatever you like. I don't care.

But if, by chance, your world is intersected by some drunk that crosses into your lane; or you wake up with a kidney stone; or you have been puking your guts out for three days with some stomach bug and can barely crawl anymore; or if you feel that unique crushing pain in your chest that radiates down your left arm and into your jaw; or suddenly you can't seem to speak clearly or swallow and you start drooling, then you lose all bowel and bladder control, and your whole left side has gone numb...

And if by some chance you are brought to my ER for any of those reasons- or any other ER for that matter, you can be assured of this: all the money you make won't impress me or "my ilk" any more then than it impresses me now- which is to say, it doesn't. Your worldview, your profession, your political affiliation, your portfolio, the things you like to do, your habits (good or bad), what you think about Bush or Clinton or bin Laden or even what you think about me and "my ilk" won't mean a damn thing to me. Because when it boils down to the ABCs- Airway, Breathing, and Circulation, you are the same as anybody else on earth. You are only one synapse, one heartbeat away from your final end. And as superior as you like to think you are, you are still going to die, and you will still look to "my ilk"to keep that from happening.

Enjoy your day.

21. I don't believe this Monday Morning Quaterback is good for America. Clinton is not our enemy, Osama and his thugs are! We should instead try to learn from Clinton's and Bush's mistakes prior to 9/11. I believe our President is trying his best, but again that is not good enough for many people. Our leaders are too much about what happened yesterday and the negatives instead of being about tomorrow and the positives.

As 9-11-2006 has come we should all be thankful that we have had five years of peace in our borders and that is a wonderful success! I believe this success belongs to our men and women who work very hard to protect this country on our soil and abroad, including our President. We should be thankful for their committment.

Posted by: Andrew Roberts on September 10, 2006 09:18 PM
22. Andrew, the point of this post was not to "Monday morning quarterback" the 9/11 outrage. Not tragedy- outrage.

No; the point is to highlight the supreme arrogance, narcissism and moral cowardice of those people who are primarily responsible for creating America's vulnerability to the 9/11 outrage, and their thoroughly scandalous intent to cover up their duplicity through the outright threatening of censorship of a national network. Such behavior is worthy of a thousand posts- whatever it takes to call attention to the utter hypocrisy of these people- including the Democratic Party, who is responsible for the censorship threats.

I will not level blame at President Bush for 9/11 because he was saddled with the completely rotten intelligence and law enforcement system that Clinton left behind. There is no way that anyyears. 3,000 Americans paid for the Clinton administration's criminal negligence. Thousands more are paying with their lives to undo the damage to America's safety that Albright, Berger, Clarke, Reno, Tenet and Clinton are completely responsible for. No American should ever be allowed to forget the endless suffering for so many Americans that these people have caused.

Posted by: ERnurse on September 11, 2006 06:25 PM
23. I want to know where is the outrage from the lefties when it comes the new mockumentary movie premiering at the Toronto film festival in which President Bush is assasinated. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,213289,00.html
