Jim Berrios will make an excellent mayor in Kent. He has proven his commitment to the community through his years of service on the Kent School Board, and he has demonstrated management and business acuity through his proprietorship of the Golden Steer. And most importantly in this economy, he will be good for business in Kent. Look at the number of Realtors, contractors, and small business owners on his list of endorsements. If they didn't think Mr. Berrios would be good for their business, you can bet they would be backing the incumbent.

Just over a year ago, nine state troopers were put on paid "administrative leave," after it was discovered that they had submitted fake diplomas from diploma mills in order to qualify for raises. The nine, along with their monthly salaries (according to the Tacoma News Tribune state salary database):

I have been reading this blog since it was created, and I am an avid follower of local, state, national and International politics. I am a native Seattleite and small business owner and I have never worked in a paid or voluntary capacity for any political party. Former staff member to Bob Ferguson and Shoreline City Council candidate, Shari Tracey, used King County pet license information to create a mailing that arriving on October 24, 2009 for dog lovers. Her campaign treasurer made a public records request to access all dog owners in the City of Shoreline to reach these folks as her target. On October 26, 2009 Bob Ferguson was a co-sponsor of the legislation to close down King County Animal Control Services, shutting down the animal shelter program and ending animal control services to suburban cities.
