Hank Myers, State Representative Candidate, 48th District:

At lunch time I was introduced to another candidate, Hank Myers, who's running for a seat in the 48th district.

Myers has, judging from his web site, the right mix of experience to make a substantial contribution in our legislature.

(His opponent is Cyrus Habib.)

Wanted to mention this on another thread before it got closed, so I'll mention it here: Joel Hussey, who I'm supporting in the 45th for House Rep., recently was endorsed by the Seattle Times over the incumbent (Roger Goodman). Joel also has lots of good background and experience to do this job. If you live (or know someone who does) in Redmond, Duvall, Sammamish, Woodinville or Kirkland, go over and support at:

4. Does Myers have a chance? How much has he raised? I think Cyrus Habib has raised nearly $200,000.

5. I've heard great things about Joel Hussey, and that he has a good chance against incumbent Roger Goodman. The district now has lots of soccer moms in Issaquah, who are much more Hussey's constituency.

I'm betting Hank Meyers is good, by Habib seems to have gotten out in front with building a broad base of support. I've seen some right-leaning friends supporting him. I hope the best for Meyers, though.
