The Gun Banners Get Busy

Read it and weep, if you love liberty and the Constitution. Or you just like guns.

Thankfully, this being an election year in which Democrats are already running for cover, this ban most likely has no chance whatsoever of passing. I imagine most Democrats in the legislature are angry at liberal Seattle Senators Adam Kline, Darlene Fairley, Jeanne Kohl-Welles, and Joe McDermott, because just by introducing this bill, it's going to hurt Democrats who aren't in safe districts like Seattle.

1. By the way, note that they let you keep your existing "assault weapons" (which can even include .22s!) ... if you submit to annual searches by the sheriff.

You can't even make up this (literal) fascism.

2. With Obama rapidly destroying this Country, he is also, rapidly destroying the Democrat Party. Many Democrat positions are going to be thrown to the curb this coming elections...And Yes, these Senators will only add to the down slide with their disarming of the American Citizen Bill.

3. Sorry Pudge... but have you seen this.. Only Seattle.

No spitting. No smoking. No sex.

The list of rules in Seattle parks may be about to grow.

A proposed ban on spitting in parks -- one of 13 behaviors Seattle Parks and Recreation wants to regulate, including a ban on smoking on its grounds -- already is generating heated public comment.

The proposal was presented Thursday night to the park commissioners.

6. As an aside:

With the new resistant strain of tuberculosis that is being reported by the CDC world-wide, it may in fact be a good idea to hall-monitor spitting. :)

7. Yeah...Right!...Duffman. We should all choke to death rather than spit, cough or pass wind. In fact, coughing will shotgun more germs in the air than, spitting. Perhaps, we should all just, stay home.

8. I just reviewed SB6396. It appears that all automatic and semi-automatic or pump loading weapons that have removable magazines that hold 10 or more rounds are assault weapon. It includes rifles, pistols and shotguns.

The real question is what firearms are excluded from the definition of assault weapons? Exclusions are limited to muzzle loaders, and those that fire rim fire cartridges.

The law is patently unconstitutional, but that never seems to stop gun controllers.

9. #7 May be you should carry a 'container' to handle your owen spit and not impose it on others and or possibly put others at risk - or are you one that blows smoke in people's faces and/or lets others deal with your animals excrement. :)

Posted by: Duffman on January 15, 2010 11:44 AM
10. Paddy, not quite. It is "all automatic and semi-automatic or pump loading weapons that have removable magazines that hold 10 or more rounds" that also possesses any of the following, such as pistol grips on long guns, or shoulder stocks on pistols.

Duffman: most of us who spit are pretty good at it. I don't get it on anyone, and I don't spit on hard walkways, etc. I spit where people won't be, and it all goes where I intend it to.

My spitting is much less of a health hazard than patchouli or incense or perfume or any other types of strong scents that can make people ill.

11. @9, Duffman...You're such a Liberal Dolt. In the first place, I don't smoke but, I do spit, cough and pass wind. Are you so Brain-dead that you would follow a requirement to carry a container to capture every spit and cough you might have when you go out in Public? Maybe so...What an IDIOT!

Posted by: Daniel on January 15, 2010 12:08 PM
12. I might and so might you if you had to pay a fine or a penalty every time you were caught doing it. You realize that there are cameras going in practically everywhere these days and you are being watched - even when you don't realize it.
And please dispense with the name-calling, it's so childish.

13. I say it to you now, if they enact a ban on general spitting, I will organize a spit-in.

Who's with me?!

Posted by: pudge on January 15, 2010 12:36 PM
14. Duffman...In the first place, name calling has it purpose of efficiency. I could go into a long descriptive adjective filled pontification in describing you. However when, one or two names will say it all, I would be foolish not to use the names. So, don't dictate to me your nanny schoolmarm Liberal standards of not using names in describing you. As far as your cameras go, so be it. The oppressive Liberal Laws you want to shove down our throats will not be tolerated. I wouldn't want to live in your Liberal World of depleted Liberty and Big Government/Brother. Our founding Fathers despised the World you support. After all, you're a Liberal, the fodder and supporter of Tyrants. The Tyrants that will give you the Liberty of living in Liberal Heaven...Walking and living in Mud Huts.

15. Only if organized around a camp fire so that the spit can be contained...and provided you come up with an appropriate 'spit-in' song. :)

16. @ 15

Might I suggest the Otis Redding classic "spittin' on the dock of the bay"?

22. Really, it is sad that they are recycling this kind of stuff. We've got people that are truly hurting due to the economy, and they're working on spitting in the parks, trying to change 'at risk' to at hope, and on the failed 'assault weapon' law. There is no such animal as an 'assault weapon.' Maurice Clemmons used a .38 special.

Kline, Fairly, and Kohl-Welles, why don't you work on how to keep child molestors behind bars? Special place in hell for these politicians.

24. There have been two boom industries during these bad economic times, working for the government, and the personal firearms and related industries. The latter owes a big uptick because of the former, this reintroduced hare-brained proposed legislation is most of what is driving the boom times.

25. I responded to the Cop killings and the subsequent legislation introduced by Seattle Senators Adam Kline, Darlene Fairley, Jeanne Kohl-Welles, and Joe McDermott by getting a CWP and a pistol. Until these politicians can guarantee my personal safety I take responsibility for the defense of my family, home and myself despite the laws they (may) pass.
