New Rumor on Paul Allen & Pete Carroll

New rumor: Seahawks owner Paul Allen really wanted to buy the USC football team but there was some problem with NCAA/PAC 10 rules so he took their coach instead.

1. Ha! Well (as a Coug...of sorts) he should have said that Mora's guaranteed $12-Mil severance was contingent on Mora taking over the reins at WSU and turning that football program around.
Now, wouldn't that have been a round-robin affair;
Sark from USC - to UW, Carroll from USC - to 'Hawks, and Mora from 'Hawks - to WSU.
Good luck to all of 'em (methinks 'Sark' will likely have the most success).

2. after seeing the 60 minutes piece on Pete carroll (nice guy, inspirational) i found myself cheering him on, despite him working for dreaded USC...

3. Most likely Carroll will fly up tomorrow on Allen's Gulfstream or Global Express. The Boeing Field airplane spotters will be on the lookout :)

When the Seahawks were trying to get TJ Housh, Allen sent his amphibian seaplane to fly Housh and his family from SeaTac to the Seahawks training camp on lake Washington. Then they took an air tour of Seattle before leaving.
