Any climate news?
The world is lit up with the news about the lead scientific promoters of human-caused global warming. Emails at ground zero of the climate-warming researchers - Climatic Research Unit at University of East Anglia in the UK - contain talk of manipulating the data to exaggerate the data to show warming during the recent years.
The British research center's director, Phil Jones, wrote that he had used a "trick" to "hide the decline" in a chart detailing recent global temperatures.

I've just completed Mike's Nature trick of adding in the real temps
to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd from 1961 for Keith's to hide the decline. Mike's series got the annual land and marine values while the other two got April-Sept for NH land N of 20N. The latter two are real for 1999, while the estimate for 1999 for NH combined is +0.44C wrt 61-90. The Global estimate for 1999 with data through Oct is +0.35C cf. 0.57 for 1998.

Any news about climate fit to print?
A search at the Seattle Times for "climate" shows on top: "Climate conference just around the corner", "Leaders say momentum building on climate change", "Britain, France back global fund for climate ills" and such. The first page of 20 results shows no signs of the controversy. On the second page at #22 is the defense, which is not needed because there is no problem. I can't tell what page that ran on. At #23 a story on the business page. Who will find news there? So it's a small story.
Is not the investigation of Prof. Mann news? Or only Obama going on another trip to Copenhagen to bow before foreign sovereigns and apologize for the US's actions preceding his election? While he is there it is expected that he will promise to hobble our economy for decades in the future because of man-made global warming. News?

Readership there has grown steadily as more inquiring minds have wanted to learn about the hoax that the MSM is not reporting. Commensurate with that, polls show belief in Anthropogenic Warming and Doomsday Fear Mongering continues to drop. And Americans continue to rank Global Warming low on the list of problems that confront us.
The Warmists can't hide the truth forever.

6. The Seattle Times and the rest of the MSM are deeply in bed with the democrats. Predictably, they cheerlead and carry water for liberals where ever it is possible. Just like for the ACORN expose, the MSM will catch up in, oh, seven to ten days.
With regard to the "anthropogenic global warming" scam, since "green" policies tend to lead to "red" outcomes the libs are happy with this relationship. The White House says "never let a good crisis go to waste" and the useful idiots at the Seattle Times are happy to assist president teleprompter at every opportunity.
The president's teleprompter will say "we must quickly pass cap and trade legislation to save the planet!", and the Seattle Times will gush "how Lincoln-esque of the teleprompter. we must de-industrialize and quickly purchase mercury filled fluorescent light bulbs and hybrids. Pay no heed to the medieval warm period or to solar activity. To do so would get in the way of Gore and the teleprompter."
7. The REAL physical science, not the political science of the IPCC, nor the celebrity, self serving science of Al Gore is abundently clear that the sun, earth and oceans control the climate. It is incredibly arrogant of the human species to think they have that power. But the statist world needed a replacement for political communism following the fall of the wall; and they found evironmentalism. Al Gore and his abetters (Hollywood, Norway's Nobel committee, elite media) should be ostracized and held to account for their fraud. Achedemics and bureaucrats like Micheal Mann (Uof Pennsilvania Hocky stick fraud) and James Hansen and Gavin Schmidt of NASA Goddard (mulitple frauds and chief colluders with Phil Jones)should be charged under RICO statues. Everything that Hadley CRU ( Phil Jones, Keith Briffa and many others) has published should be declared invalid and hopefully Great Britain will prosecute these criminals. Similar revelations come from investigations of agencies and achedemics in New Zealand and Australia. It appears that the governments, universities and media of Great Britain and her colonies ( less the Canadian heros McKitrick and McIntyre) have colluded to defraud the planet. The IPCC should be disbanded and its 4 reports trashed- Phil Jones and people of his ilk were the principal authors of those manafestos. The deathly silence from the elite media (large and small- Skagit Valley Herald has said nothing), while no surprise, just drives another nail in thier coffin- HEY man up and admit you were deceived. Since Pres Obama seems hell bent to head to Copenhagen to sign away our sovereignty and destroy our economy, it is up to the Senate to send the same message to Obama they sent to Clinton. By a 95 to 0 vote the Senate told Clinton not to sign Kyoto- but he sent Al Gore to do so anyway. But being the smart pol he was Clinton never sent the treaty to the Senate- who would have killed it. The envirofascists badgered Pres Bush for eight years for doing the same thing Pres Clinton did. The Senate needs show some leadership and tell the President to stay home. If the real science didn't convince you that AGW is wrong, then the revelation of a massive global left wing conspiracy certainly should, assuming your indoctrination by the Carbon Cult has not turned your brain to mush.
8. The CRU leak is confirmation of several serious problems with man made global warming that have been known or suspected for over a decade.
1. A small group (~50 to 100) of climate "scientists" have co-opted the peer review process and become the gate keepers of what is published.
2. This same group controls the the UN IPCC process.
3. The data and models behind the theory of man-made global warming are hopelessly f'd up and they have been fudging them to prop up the empire they have built.
4. As custodians of the data and models they have succeeded in keeping both out of the public eye for close to 20 years.
All the above have been known for some time, but the leaks of email, data and model code corroborate the scam.
The emails clearly establish illegal activity in subverting the British and US Freedom of Information Acts, but the data and model code in the leak show how the scam was perpetrated.
It took over a week for this site to cover the story. I expect the MSM will finally cover it once the Copenhagen travesty is signed.

Yes, as for the the great "It's peer reviewed!" defense, the scientists involved in this scam simply peer reviewed each other, and sought to change the peer review process for the sake of keeping skeptical papers out of the IPCC report. I just read what they write, and they admitted to that amongst themselves.
Who "peer reviews" the computer programs that were used to create the bogus models that were based on raw data that was thrown away?
Looks like we do now since we get to see that they purposefully stopped/started based on certain years so as to hide the declines.
Honest scientists should be furious about what these few criminals did to damage the reputation of science. Perhaps Penn State will do an honest investigation of Michael Mann, and as some blogger said... send him to State Pen.
There's even email about how they make up research studies to steal more of our tax money.
I eagerly await the Believers' defense.

24. Dr. Rajendra Pachauri is the chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. He wants a hefty airline to tax to deter people from flying. He wants no more ice water served in restaurants. He is a big cricket fan:
