Dow Constantine's pledge of transparency is pretty transparent

In the below video of the Seattle Times Editorial Board King County Executive candidate's hearing (at 1:02:25) Constantine says

"Frankly, I'm an open book. I've lived in this community 48 years. Everything I've done as a public official is a matter of public record. ... I want to make sure we carry that spirit forward."

Really Dow, everything you've done? I think it's great that you want to carry that spirit of openness forward. Hey, I know you're not elected yet but why not start now?

1. I'm glad to hear Dow regards himself as an open book. So---Dow buddy, how about opening up to the voters about this matter....say, right now?

2. Love this little gem:

"The last Executive [Ron Sims] had some problems and getting in to court about whether they were appropriately disclosing them. ... that is not going to be a problem in my Administration. We've been completely transparent ... in our public records. We have been completely open in our campaign records."

Anyone else notice how flush he looks during that exchange? Seems he was pretty, what's the word, RILED UP. If that's how he got under a little friendly questioning about past issues, imagine how'd he's likely to react if directly asked about the current claims!

Of course, he won't be. He's playing it safe by having notorious campaign mouthpiece Sandeep Kaushik talk to the media.
