Seahawks Predictions

I won't make any because I don't follow the NFL closely enough to have an informed opinion.  But if you do, or if you just want to make a guess, tell us how well the Seahawks will do this season, how many wins and losses, whether they make the playoffs, who will be the individual stars, which team will win today's game, et cetera.

(Oh, and if I forget, please remind me at the end of the season to link to this post so we can see who had the best predictions)

1. I guess we'll find out in the next few weeks whether we'll be rooting for the Seahawks or the SeaHoax.

2. They win today. 10-6 record, they win the NFC West. They win at least one playoff game. Hassleback returns to form. Housh has a great year, and the defense sends at least two to the Pro Bowl.

How's that?

3. 'Hawks won't be dead last.

(That's my story and I'm sticking to it!)

4. How about Husky predictions, as well?

5-7
Too rosy? Too pessimistic? Who knows. I'll just put that out there and hope they're better than that, regardless.

5. 'Hawks will again be plagued with injuries as the season advances and that will keep them out of the playoffs.
Huskies may win five (5) games...Cougs will win one (1) max...unless they lose to SMU...then it's -0-.
Sounders will fall short of making the MLS final game which will be played in Seattle.
Sorry..folks, we're not there yet...but building!

6. Other than two early interceptions thrown by quarterback Matt Hasselback and a fumble by Nate Burleson while fighting for extra yards, the Hawks alternated behind methodically hammering the Rams on the ground with Julius Jones (117 yards rushing) and airing it out to a plethora of sure-handed receivers to bury the Rams early and often.

More post-game analysis and wrap up here.

7. Seahawks 10-6 or 9-7; maybe too optimistic ? If they win 10 games, they'll be in the playoffs otherwise, theyr'e building for the future...

UW 4 or 5 wins. Wazzu 1 or 2 wins. Oregon State 8 wins.

8. The hawks will double their win totals from last year , but I think their schedule is weak enough to get to 10-6 and a playoff berth. John Carlson will cement himself into the ranks of the elite tight ends in the NFL (as you witnessed yesterday).Injuries will not plague them as they did last year.

9. The Seahawks will go 10 & 6 this season & win their Division. They will then go on to lose in the first round of the Playoffs, on the road.

Sad but true.

10. Based on what I saw in the first half, I'd say they'd be terrible. Based on the 2nd half, they might win the division if they can get by SF. The offense looks like it can be pretty high powered if it's firing on all cylinders. Injuries and players coming back from injuries could play a big part.
Defensively, I think they could be one of the best we've seen in a few years. Lofa and Hill need to get healthy and stay in the game, but even the backups did a respectable job. Add Trufant to what we saw yesterday and it could be a tough D.
Overall, give it time to gel and keep injuries down and they're in the hunt for the division title.

11. The Seahawks will go 13-3, running away with the NFC West. No, I didn't inhale. Has it escaped everyone that we pitched a shutout yesterday? Our defense is one of the main reasons for my optimism. We are pressuring the QB and we did a really nice job of stuffing the run. On the offensive side of the ball, our run blocking did great and that will keep the opposing defenses honest. This will totally free up Housh, Nate, et al. We slam the Cowboys in the NFC Championship @ Qwest Field and meet the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

12. #11 You seem to have forgotten who we played yesterday and their comedy of errors. The St Louis Rams are not a good team with mediocre personnel...they will not have a good year. I agree our first 'real' game will be next week against a much-improved 49'er team.

13. Since no one else has taken it yet, I'll say 11-5 for the Hawks. They'll win at home and lose on the road in the playoffs.

Huskies will be 2-10 if they don't figure out how to play defense.

14. I say 12-4 and they go all the way.

16. Check post #5 folks...sounds clairvoint donesn't it...'Hawks, Hasselbeck got hurt today...what's new...Cougs win one and it w/be ONLY ONE...Dawgs are going to win some (just like I said) and Sounders with their 'tie' mentality will be out of the playoffs.
