1. We must remember though that the Republicans are part of the problem.

2. Someone Reported on Michelle's web site that Gingrich is trying to hijack these tea parties.

We must watch to ensure that what happened in 1994 doesn't happen this time around. We need to watch for the opportunists in our midst.

3. If I remember right, republicans won in 1994, and things were actually going pretty well in the congress until the press, media and dem noise machine had demonized Gringrich to the point where he couldn't be effective anymore.

I'm not sure that Gingrich coming back is such a bad thing. He really is much more conservative than most of the clowns we have running the republican party today.

4. Just noticed that poster "beth" shows an email of "beth@beth.com."

Poster Steve above shows an email of "steve@steve.com"

Amazing coincidence, or sock puppets on parade? You decide.

5. Funny, I remember things a little differently.

I remember the Republicans getting in, abandoning their principles, increasing the size and scope of government, some having sex with interns etc.

And as for Gingrich just go to beth's link.

Obviously the Democrats are bad. But so are the Republicans. Look at what the Republican leadership did just today. Instead of standing on principle it attacked one of it's own for standing on principle.

People haven't forgotten how the GOP let us down. Heck, the first bailout was done by Bush, and Reichert voted for Cap and Trade.

6. Just wanted to pre-empt one of the trolls that will inevitably refer to 'teabaggers' as a pejorative toward those of us that wants to take our increasingly Marxist government back. Thus might I again ask that you refrain from eluding to your enjoyment of a quite disturbing fetish.

7. This movement will fail if it is seem to be Pro-Republican.

It really needs to be grassroots to succeed.

Republicans have been part of the problem. The Republicans in Name Only "Mainstream Republican" type have been that is.

People still haven't forgotten Bush, no have they forgotten the Free spending Republican Congress.

10. Any event in Redmond?

Posted by: Crusader on September 11, 2009 09:07 AM
11. steve - this is why every GOP contribution request letter goes straight in the garbage. If they can't stand up for Joe Wilson in his moment of need, they don't deserve my money. When the GOP grows a spine, then I'll think about it. I think Sarah Palin is the last Republican known nationally with a spine.

12. #11 - Agreed; re: Joe Wilson. Even though what he did was politically stupid - I hope he gets reelected (and becomes more saavy) and his outburst actually inspired some action to make sure illegals are not encluded in one of the bills.

I am going to be eternally vigilant when it comes to voting for Republicans in the future. If the Dems pass Universal Health care or anything like it, it will be a cold day in he!! before I vote for one of them. Very few candidates that I see today are worthy of my vote.

13. #10: yes, corner of Avondale and Union Hill Road where 520 ends. 11:00 am

14. Once again the trolls on parade show their idiocy by trying to hijack a legitimate discussion.

15. On this day, we go out into public and gather conspicuously, celebrating President Barack Hussein Obama's having kept us safer than his predecessor.

Posted by: tensor on September 12, 2009 02:49 PM
16. #15 - B-HO has kept us no safer than his predecessor has since 9-11-01. The facts speak for themselves. WTF ? Now 9-11 has been turned into a service day. Totally inappropriate - what a dork !

Posted by: KDS on September 12, 2009 07:56 PM
17. O'Bozo has taken deliberate and provocative steps that make us more vulnerable, not less. People - lots of them - are going to die because of this klown and his massive ego.

A pox upon his house. I will "celebrate" when he is nothing more than an unpleasant memory...

Posted by: Alphabet Soup on September 12, 2009 08:32 PM
18. 315: lol, Barack can't even bring himself to say "war on terror"...
