Hand delivery of our message for Congress against health care takeover

"Don't give the government control of our health care."

I joined a group at the entrance to the building housing Congressman Jim McDermott's office in downtown Seattle. Steve Beren, who has run against McDermott, was there and about 10 total. This was part of the Tea Party movement. People gathered at every congressional office in the state.

We had a few signs and some of us had letters we took upstairs. We were treated politely by the staff. On the street I saw no negative reaction at all during the 20 minutes I was there, many smiles and thumbs up and a few people engaged in discussion.

I have called and written to McDermott many times in the 25+ years he was supposed to be representing me in Congress. But this is the first time I have taken time off work to go to his office.

Liberty Belle says that EVERY office in the state had Tea Party demonstrators, despite my wrong address for Cong. Reichert. And in Everett there were 200!

2. Ron--
There were 75-100 protestors in Bozeman MT at the office of Max Baucus (in a county with 75,000 citizens). Baucus is the only human who can stop this boondoggle by tying it up in the Finance Committee. This will be Baucus' legacy.

Pretty pathetic turnout in Seattle considering this will impact many generations to come.
Need to open the eyes of the 29 and under crowd who voted over 2-1 for Obama.
The cruel joke is on them.
Free stuff is appealing...not realistic.\They need to wake up and grow up quick.
Crazy Uncle Barrack is doing this to solidy his Marxist Agenda. Spending money like a crazy bastard to indebt us so deeply that only the Feds with unlimited power to print $$ will be our economy. No more individual initiative and rewards. We can all be equal...hard workers and lazy asses...all equal.

4. I also hand delivered copies of my protest to both Senator Murray and Senator Cantwell's office. I left a copy for them and had a copy for the office staffer to sign. The Cantwell office absolutely FREAKED OUT at being asked to sign something.
