From our friend Peter Cowman, a Michael Jackson parody: Barack Obama (is not my mother).

Posted by: LaborGoon on July 14, 2009 01:41 PMNeeds more polish, more creativity and better singing - the takeoff on Michael Jackson- - yes, but a black conservative singer would have enhanced it with rhythm and more hip lyrics.
Conservatives don't seem to have much of the creative gene. Maybe bigger and better tea parties at a convenient time for working people would help bring more young creative talent out. Time will tell.

Maybe creative. but what does that have to do with the topic ? Not claiming to be able to do better. The substance was good, but more polish on that effort with a garage band, etc. would be good at a Tea Party.
It's time to pull out all of the stops - the culture war is in full force/the insurrection from the left. From my witnessing at a Tea Party on the Fourth (Mercer Island), they could stand a shot of enthusiasm and somehow attract more younger people - but that's a topic for another post.
Shrug. I do my part. And I do a pretty good job. And I don't do it to entice anyone in particular.
I could not care less about doing anything to attract young people. One thing most young people -- especially potentially conservative-leaning ones -- recognize and reject right away is a lack of authenticity. Better than saying we should "attract young people," we should strive to be authentic, which WILL attract young people, and most other people.
59%.
