Watch Albert Gore, Jr.'s movie to learn about indoctrination. Watch the following to correct what you have been taught.
"Not Evil Just Wrong: The True Cost of Global Warming Hysteria" From Washington Policy Center:
The film highlights the high cost of the ban on DDT and the millions in Africa and Asia who have died from malaria as a result. Two years ago, the World Health Organization, saying they could no longer ignore the science, approved the use of DDT as a tool against malarial mosquitoes. The film combines interviews with scientists, environmental activists and average citizens to raise concerns about the current wave of regulations and taxes being proposed to fight global warming.Washington Policy Center will be showing "Not Evil Just Wrong" Wednesday at Rachel Carson Elementary (an appropriate location) in Sammamish, WA.You can see clips of the film at the Not Evil Just Wrong Youtube site...
Did you know that the ban on DDT that has killed millions was put in place by local hero William Ruckelshaus? Did he base his decision on science? No. Junk Science has the details.
"Mine you own Business" is by the same film makers - Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney. Rich environmentalists are going to poor regions and fighting against developments that create jobs. Because they like the quaint poverty of Romania, Madagascar and Chile they are happy to deny jobs to the locals. Do the locals prefer outhouses over indoor plumbing? Do they want poverty? Are they willing to have a mine in their region? They speak for themselves in this movie.
See a clip at YouTube.Albert Gore Jr.'s Inconvenient Truth is Fisked at Junk Science. I have heard there is a movie responding to Gore after a British judge ruled that it has nine significant inaccuracies, so when it is shown these inaccuracies must be disclosed. But I couldn't find it.

"Fat Head"
2008 documentary challenging what most people "know" about what makes a correct diet - here's an interview with the film maker.
Posted by: Ironman on April 21, 2009 08:22 AMHere is just one of hundreds of papers that show that the climate here in North America is mostly determined by fluctuations in warm water in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. And that water was warmed by the Sun imprimis.
The gig is up with several polls now showing that the majority of Americans no longer believe in Anthropogenic Global Warming.
If you'd like to learn more about the facts, and less about the political hysteria as advanced by carbon speculators like Al Gore, then go to ICECAP and WattsUpWithThat. Each day, the tireless editors of these blogs ferret through hundreds of news sources and new scientific papers to bring you the facts on climate. Facts that you won't read in sensational government fear documents, or in most news media. But facts nonetheless.
It's only a matter of time before Al Gore fades quietly in to the woodwork as a laughing stock.
Posted by: Jeff B. on April 21, 2009 09:47 AMBut that's been beat to death here and in my own blog, but what really sticks in my craw is that the eco-wacko left has children absolutely paralyzed with fear about their future because of their incessant lies and distortions. See: Children 6 to 11 fear that Ma Earth won't exist when they grow up. So if you want a reason for the constant increases of teen suicides these days, look no further. I'd pull the plug too if my future was a burning, barren, flooded planet a few years from now.
The political left in this country has blood on it's hands from the radicals of the 60's (Weathermen Ayers & Dorn) to the "peace" movement that brought us the Killing Fields of Cambodia and the environmental movement is no different. Just the ammunition has changed.
Posted by: G Jiggy on April 21, 2009 11:03 AMThe environmental movement is joined at the hip to the radical lefties of the 60s. It's just anticapitalism 'by other means'. And those bomb-planting lefties - whose leaders, Ayers in particular, had foreseen and hoped for a violent revolution in the US, and even planned for Gulag-style concentration camps for capitalists - aimed 'by every means necessary' to bring down capitalism, private property and the concept of individual liberty. What to do?
Find a cause like America, or apple pie, that no rational person could object to. What better than Bambi and dickey birds and baby seals, and the opposite like industrial accidents - no, 'crimes' against the Earth! Liberal guilt could do no better than feel horrified at man's presence on Nature, and set to work restricting land use, construction, mining and the free exchange of property between consenting adults. All of these details led away from private ownership and toward overlordship by the 'community' - that is, unelected bureaucratic insiders.
Where had such a movement ever succeeded before? Oh, yes, Vladimir Lenin figured it out. First he got the peasants to fight for him against the landlords by promising them the land. Then, once he had conquered the existing government and he controlled the military and secret police, he launched the movement that enslaved those very same peasants on their 'own' land, or exported them to Siberia. Great model for earth day! And so it occurs every year on April 22, Lenin's birthday.
Endoctrination NOT Education.
Our children can't read or do simple calculations but they CAN lecture adults about Global Warming and the evils of owning a gun.
Posted by: Sam Adams on April 21, 2009 02:48 PMEarth is a very harsh, and mostly inhospitable place for humans. Disasters of all magnitude strike us frequently, unannounced and with calamitous effect. The Earth is not something we should love, but instead a wild animal that we should seek to master for our benefit, all the while respecting its ability to strike back at us at any moment.
Earth Day is a sham. Today, I celebrate human achievement and our ability to change our environment around us to make our lives safer and better. Environuts look at bridges as chains upon the earth, where they should properly viewed as tools for humans to enjoy mobility that improves and extends our lives.
Reject any ideology that tells you that you are subserviant to the earth, or to any other collectivist tyranny. You are an end unto yourself, you should be proud of your achievements and your pursuit of hapiness. And you should be proud of your use of earth's abundant resources to further your own ends. This is the only proper moral view of the earth.
