Reprising Darcy Burner (D-Netroots)

Josh Feit quotes at length from an Eli Sanders piece, which delves deep into the notion of whether or not Darcy Burner's netroots affiliation was a net boom or bust for her candidacy. Feit's whole post, heavy on Sanders content, is worth the read.

We here at Sound Politics have spent much time on that topic (use the search function on the lower right hand side of the main page to query "burner netroots"). Indeed, the Mike Shields quote referenced in Sanders's piece was at comment #1 at this thread.

Ultimately, the verdict of the voters in the 8th Congressional District are the final arbiter of this question, but it's still worthy of discussion for all the obvious reasons.

1. Shields makes a great point. This kind of money, which either exceeded the legal limits (recall "Goode, Will") and/or came from foreign donors, was instrumental in Obama's victory.

2. "Burner told me it wasn't that she was too close to
the liberal blogosphere."
Ha. Hehe. HA-HA! ROTFLMAO. Oh, man, is that funny or what?!! :-)))

That's gotta come as news to you, eh Joan "McJoan" McCarter? And to her base on DailyKos, ActBlue, etc. And to Matt Stoller?

Wow, that is funny.

"though that's somewhat debatable."
Master of understatement! :-)))
