Shot: "Liberals not pleased by go-slow approach by Obama"
Chaser: "[expletive] you ten years later." [profanity warning...duh]
The former discusses the laments of liberals, learning that the One may not have meant everything he said on the campaign trail. The latter might be one of the angriest posts I've ever read from a member of the netroots...and that's saying something.
Here's a helpful tip: when you believe someone sounds like a "young dumb fascist idiot" thus, must be a "typical Republican" then you have issues. When you further believe "the Republican Party is composed of political sociopaths" then you really shouldn't be surprised when people capable of winning competitive elections (Obama) don't want much to do with your shrill antics once they're actually tasked with the serious job of governing.
The same holds true of Republicans disdaining loons on the right who earnestly believe liberals aren't just wrong politically, they're inherently evil. Such thought processes just don't lend themselves to majority governance.
Either way, I thought the left won last November? Who knew.

Some are.
But from your perspective you wouldn't know. Eric.
Posted by: Brian Thomas on February 16, 2009 08:47 PMYes, those Republicans are wrong...
Liberals aren't merely inherently evil but they are also societal parasites and oxygen bandits...
Just look at Jim McDermott's track record if you think I'm wrong...

That is liberalism in a nutshell (aptly punned)
Posted by: Rick D. on February 17, 2009 07:03 AMTo be a Liberal in the United States in the 20th century and today is to espouse Socialism, to trade personal liberty for "security" provided by government, and to misrepresent history to make people believe Capitalism and a real sense of personal responsibility are responsible for all our problems.
Washington was no Liberal by today's standard. Get your facts straight, and you'd realize they don't, in reality, support your positions.
The only problem, Jeff B., is that they'll likely leave the rest of us broke along with them.
Posted by: Saltherring on February 17, 2009 07:32 AMGiven that you're a mindless idiot, I would say that perhaps you're the exception to Eric's rule concerning evil. Well, you and that moron you were so rabid to get elected, that is.
Posted by: Hinton on February 17, 2009 07:47 AMYou know when we read the tripe that come from factless, one has to really wonder when he makes these statements. Then says he owns not one but (3) businesses?
I tend to believe he's a liar!
Posted by: Medic/Vet on February 17, 2009 08:31 AMA free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government. -- George Washington
Of all the dispositions and habits, which lead to political prosperity, Religion and Morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of Men and Citizens. The mere Politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. -- George Washington
Seems like old George was clinging bitterly to his guns and religion. Just like your Marxist Messiah complained about conservatives during the election...
The fact you can sit there and type out that George Washington would be a liberal in the modern sense shows that you are truly, absolutely, definitively factless and ignorant.
Posted by: Shanghai Dan on February 17, 2009 09:14 AMPlease share an insight because I am interested as others and BE HONEST, but frankly I doubt if any of you can provide a coherent and a believable answer. In fact, I would be amazed if that happened. This will be a benefit in future dialogues.
Posted by: KS on February 17, 2009 06:54 PMI will also share what I believe that I am fighting for so that its a two-way street.
