Today's Seattle Times: "Sims yanks disputed Twitter posting"
King County Executive Ron Sims pulled a Twitter "tweet" from his Web site Monday after state Public Disclosure Commission staff said it improperly supported a candidate in today's election of a county elections director.Yeah, it was just one of those funny coinkydinks that the Twitter post happened to link to an editorial promoting Sims preferred candidate. "We don't think that it's an appropriate link because it's supporting a candidate," said PDC spokeswoman Lori Anderson.Former state Rep. Toby Nixon complained Monday about the link, which was posted Sunday night.
Sims' office pulled the tweet after being informed of the complaint Monday. Sims spokeswoman Carolyn Duncan said it was "a very innocent post" intended to alert readers to the election deadline.
"There wasn't any intent to endorse any candidate," she said.

Posted by: Rick D. on February 3, 2009 09:49 AMObama is doing better than the previous Administration in appointing highly qualified people to run their respective agencies. Even better, no one in Obama's Administration is asking for 3 million dollars of taxpayer money to put curtains on a statue or using their position to promote their latest album of patriotic songs.
IOKIYAD!

Killefer was the second major Obama administration nominee to withdraw and the third to have tax problems complicate their nomination after President Barack Obama announced their selection.

Posted by: Medic/Vet on February 3, 2009 02:10 PMI'm not sure about this Medic/Vet, but I wonder if the Dumb DEMs have the same malady as the Righteous REPs. The symptoms are similar --
One's not honest about taxes, and the other's not honest about homosexual proclivities.
Same ole - same ole in our morally starved country.
I hope Obama does well in spite of the SOP political attacks.
And the beat goes on...

A lack of honest. One is not honest about the taxes owed, and the other's not honest about homosexual proclivities.
Same ole - same ole in our morally starved country.
I hope Obama does well in spite of the SOP political attacks.
And the beat goes on...
