Sherril Huff and deadlines

Pam Roach isn't the only Elections Director candidate to slip up on PDC reports.

Sherril Huff also missed the filing deadline for her F-1 personal financial affairs statement. The F-1 is due within 14 days of becoming a candidate, which Huff became on Dec. 9 when she announced her candidacy. Her F-1 was due on Dec. 23. She finally filed it on Dec. 31, only after I contacted the PDC to ask for her F-1. PDC staff had to call Huff and remind her that the form was late.

So far we know that Huff missed: the F-1 deadline, the deadline to move into King County before filing for office, apparently some federal tax deadlines, and perhaps the certification deadline for finishing the canvass of provisional ballots.

Maybe it's just me, but shouldn't rigorous adherence to deadlines be a qualification for running elections?

1. Sherril Huff is to 'Elections Director' what Tim Geithner is to 'Treasury Secretary'. :)

3. You know Michele I had a long-drawn-out affair with IRS (on behalf of my mother) and very luckily I ended up with a favorable decision for her...and for the life of me I can't imagine the IRS being overseen by someone who can't complete his tax return in good fashion. And that's giving him the benefit of the doubt when he probably deliberately and knowingly tried to evade. UNreal.

4. Huff, Blago_ye_kvetch, Geithner, Sam Adams (portland mayor),et al: all examples of Democrat party malfeasance, but instead of accountability, there's only excuse-making and deniability.
Welcome to the face of the 21st century Democratic Party.
