Finally, Mrs. Gregoire makes a decision about the Viaduct!
Of course, the decision is to postpone her own deadline for making a real decision, but at least she's doing something.

1. Good. The tunnel is clearly our best option, especially if it moves the corridor away from the waterfront. We can then make a public park out of the SR-99 right of way along the waterfront, with residences built behind it. Many of those residents will work in downtown, thus solving another transportation problem. A win for all parties; the only question is getting there.
2. Thank GOD she has postponed the decision on the Viaduct. The Viaduct is one of the Least of the priorities this State has to attend to. If the Romans can build a bridge that last two thousand years then surely, the Viaduct can last a few more years. The urgent need to replace the Viaduct is a Rip-Off Scam! It's a game-play by the politicians to let contracts, get kickbacks, build a legacy, etc, all on others people's money. The limiting of the lane use on the Viaduct is just, another Phony game-play to create the illusion of impending need. The whole thing is a scripted, designed FARCE!
3. De Ja Vu.
The last time there was a storm crippling the state, Gregoire appeared after the fact and announced she was delaying making a decision on the viaduct.
Voters who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it!
4. Wow, were is the Seattle MSM on this story???? No one dares to ask the hard questions on the Gov's indecisiveness?? Were is our Fearless leader??? Hmm interesting we had lots of snowstorms this past week and Gregoire was nowere to be found, then cannot make up her mind on a very important issue on the viaduct. What a fraud.
5. The delay is crazy - I thought it was a serious safety issue!
As far as a tunnel goes, why oh WHY would the State choose the most expensive option when it's trying to deal with a $6 BILLION dollar budget deficit?
6. The answer is to let it collapse because Seattle hates drivers.
7. This should surprise exactly...nobody. After getting re-elected with her horrible record of leadership, she can pretty much do whatever she wants now.
8. Oh how cute, Tensor wants a Big Dig of his own.
9. If Tensor thinks parks will go up if they dig this tunnel.
Well he's a bigger fool than I thought! 0-:
Condos galore buddy.
Bank on it.
10. Today's Seattle Times showed the most recent tunnel proposal that essentially moves the tunnel to under First Ave. If a tunnel is going to be built, this option has the advantage that the existing viaduct can be used during the construction period.
11. King County and City of Seattle have over 22,000
employees. Maybe they could dig the tunnel by hand?
12. Once a slag, always a slag
