Presumably, they'll be showing a clip from my video that played during the YouTube/CNN GOP Debate.
It's been awhile since I put up some videos ... I am working on a cover of a song right now, and am also gearing up for another Twelve Songs of Christmas. Maybe it won't be twelve this year. Maybe this one will go to eleven (hint, hint).
Cross-posted on <pudge/*>.

Oh, and congrats on the youtube.

He's an asshat. You can imagine the temper tantrum this imbecile would throw if someone interrupted his judicial proceedings. He'd hold them in contempt of court and jail them to make an example of them. Funny how liberals only view free speech as a one way street.
An Exerpt from this loon's writing can be found on his website. this one under the heading "writings and speeches":
WAR ON LIBERTY- ...we should note though the Patriot Act passed by overwhelming margins in Congress, it was subjected to increasing popular criticism. So much so, in fact, that Attorney General John Ashcroft took it upon himself to do a nationwide speaking tour in its defense. I understand he even traveled to a third grade classroom to sing the praises of the Act after which he opened up the floor to questions.
A third grade boy raised his hand. General Ashcroft called on him, saying please give us your name and state your question. The boy replied, "My name is Bobby and I have two questions. If Gore got more votes than Bush, why isn't Gore President? And why are you trying to take away our liberty with the Patriot Act?"
At that precise moment the recess bell rang and all the children trooped out of the classroom like Pavlov's dogs. Fifteen minutes or so later they returned. General Ashcroft was still there. He told the children that he said he was going to answer their questions and that's what he intended to do although he didn't quite have as much time as before.
A little girl raised her hand. General Ashcroft asked her name and her question. She replied, "My name is Mary and I have four questions. If Gore got more votes than Bush, how come Gore isn't President? Why are you trying to take away our liberty with the Patriot Act? Why did the recess bell ring fifteen minutes early? . . . and Where's Bobby?"
Well, back to the War on Terror. I doubt if we'll be hearing from Mary again.
Will the orderly with the straightjacket please approach the bench for the Honorable Richard Sanders?
I saw where Journey got their new lead singer off You Tube.
Pudge we always knew the writing and music talent you have.

Posted by: gs on November 21, 2008 10:06 PMHey, clear the way in the old bazaar,
Hey you, let us through, it's a bright new star,
Now come, be the first on your block to meet his eye!
Make way, here he comes,
Ring bells, bang the drums.
You're gonna love this guy
Prince Ali, fabulous he, Ali Ababwa!
Genuflect, show some respect
Down on one knee
Now try your best to stay calm
Brush up your Sunday Salaam
And come and meet his spectacular coterie.
Prince Ali, mighty is he, Ali Ababwa!
Strong as ten regular men, definitely
He faced the galloping hordes
A hundred bad guys with swords
Who sent those goons to their lords, why Prince Ali!
Although, for our liberal pals here at SP the very best stanza doesn't need a rewrite!
He's got ninety-five white Persian monkeys!(He's got the monkeys, let's see the monkeys!)
And to view them, he charges no fee!
(He's generous, so generous)
He's got slaves, he's got servants and flunkies!
(Proud to work for him)
They bow to his whim, love serving him
They're just lousy with loyalty to Ali!
Prince Ali!
:)
I know.
I'm so bad.
Bush should just resign, and get the hell out of dodge.....
Posted by: All Facts Support My Positions on November 22, 2008 09:08 AMSo duffie, everyone is in a dither all tingly about Hillary as Secretary of State. Some are lauding it as a terrific decision, others as politically expedient and the rest as a case of 'keep your enemies where you can see them'.
I have a different take on it. Far more Machiavellian.
Baby bear-y the toddler president installs Hillary with her quick confirmation by a willing congress. She resigns her senate seat which is quickly filled with someone malleable who mirrors the toddler presidents ideology by baby bear-y ardent supporter Governor Patterson.
In a very short while, perhaps after some minor international crisis, baby bear-y FIRES Madame Secretary, again with the cooperation of a willing congress.
With one stroke of evil genius the toddler president removes her from political life thereby rendering her impotent with disgrace for a future political career AND as a bonus pulls the political teeth of both Clintons.

Posted by: Ragnar Danneskjold on November 22, 2008 11:19 AMAnd for all of you folks dumping on Richard Sanders, just remember that he's so far above someone like Mary Fairhurst that it's not funny.
Justice Sanders is a libertarian - as such, he is very hard on government, while always giving the individual the benefit of the doubt.
Certainly, he comes down on the wrong side of many issues. But if you read his opinions - majority or dissent - you come away with respect for his principles and the way he reasons to a conclusions.
That he regards the Patriot Act with revulsion is, given his personal philosophy, completely understandable. That he expresses his POV even before an Attorney General of the United States says he is passionate and believes in the First Amendment.
He does, at times, infuriate me. But he will always get my vote because he is an honest man.

Posted by: Piper Scott on November 22, 2008 11:40 AMI suggest you read "The Wrecking Crew", so you can better understand how the ideology you support "truly" works. When you are done, read "The Shock Doctrine", so you can have a better understanding of how the powerful rape and pillage with "Disaster Capitalism". You probably still think "free trade" is a good idea, and "trickle down" floats all boats.
Your fantasy based, greed is good world is crumbling Ragnar. Face reality. Support your new president. He will have a tough time undoing all the damage 20 plus years of "conservative economics", and the lying chimp has caused.
There is no way you would read the books mentioned above. You can't handle the truth. That's why no facts support your positions. There is more to governing than cutting taxes, attacking gays, supporting big oil, and jesus.
Posted by: All Facts Support My Positions on November 22, 2008 11:43 AMFactless: wow, you sure are building up on those ad hominems, straw men, and red herrings.
A. You don't have a clue what I read. I guarantee I could put my reading list against yours for the last 15 years and outnumber you by 200:1 ... if not more. Your diatribe is again based on irrational hatred. The funny thing is I don't hate you or even dislike you: I don't know you enough to care. BUT you do amuse the hell out of me with your oh so righteous indignation and eagerness to find fault.... but only with those you disagree.
B. NOT once have I ever referenced any of those personalities you listed.
NOT ONCE.
I READ. And, if you truly paid attention, which I sincerely doubt, you will have noticed that NOT ONCE have I ever cited the Bible nor referenced God as a proof of argument. I do reference the Catholic Church becaue it applies to liars like gregoire and Biden, et al.
C. I suggest you read The Constitution, then The Federalist Papers. I suggest you stop listening to Air America and stop using HuffPo as a source. You condemn yourself with your own "sources" while condeming others for there's.
Can you spell H Y P O C R I T E?
C. I do hope the toddler president succeeds. I've said that before. I do so for admittedly self interest reasons and because I love my country.
I simply doubt he will. It's up to HIM to prove me wrong.
D. As far as fantasy based worlds I can only AGAIN point you to the FACT that the toddler president is already backtracking on his "promises" and as far as "greed" you would do well to remember that in your socialist redistribution utopia fantasy A free lunch for you is a painful cost for someone else ... although I doubt it matters as long as YOUR handout is on time.
Keep trying.

Posted by: jimg on November 22, 2008 01:26 PMGuess republicans cannot walk the walk - but thwy sure do give us the talk. When it comes to voting actual principles ...not so much.
"For the second year in a row, the House GOP caucus rejected an effort to limit its members' requests for special projects, or earmarks, in this case a short-term moratorium.
The vote again exposed fissures among GOP conservatives and could undercut one of the party's signature themes, limited government."

Posted by: pudge on November 22, 2008 04:21 PMI didn't say he was classless - I said he was passionate; they are different.
In the 1980 election, attorney Richard Sanders came to Longview where I was living at the time to help organize the pro-Reagan forces at the Cowlitz County Republican Convention.
I've never forgotten his cheerfulness and encouraging manner - nor that he was manly enough to have a Latin maxim on his business card.
While shouting at an attorney general - any attorney general - isn't something I would do...maybe...that he did it shows a real sense of fearlessness.
Ya gotta love him for that!

I didn't mean that you did. I meant I agreed with much of what you said, and I added that he was classless in what he said.
Also, I was not saying he was classless in general, just in that one act.

Posted by: Michele on November 22, 2008 07:24 PMIn it I said that it wasn't good political strategy for Dino Rossi to run for governor in 2008 because 2008 was going to be a Democratic year and while he could win in 2012 he had no chance of winning in 2008.
Well predictably people posted here how wrong I was and yeah Rossi was going to win in 2008. You know how we comment about Liberals drinking "kool-aid" well from all the comments being thrown against me you people must have been swimming in it.
Well, I was going to comment on the actual post now that the whole thing was over that indeed, you were wrong and I was right. But unfortunately there seems to be a time limit for posting comments on particular posts. So I guess I have to do it here.
I didn't want to be right, but it was so obvious that it really did surprise me that more people didn't see it. But more important than the fact that I was right is the fact that you all were wrong.
You need to see things more clearly and stop being intoxicated by the partisan kool-aid that seems to flow so freely here. I am not saying to change your beliefs because for the most part they are correct, but don't surrender your brain over to the GOP. They really don't have your best interests at heart. It is too bad you can't see that.
Posted by: CnR on November 22, 2008 07:48 PMYou obviously don't love America, not enough!
Think that's harsh? You bet. Do you think it was uncalled for?
I don't think so.
One of the things that really make me mad about our side is how so many on our side aren't willing to do what it takes to win. They want to stick to "Marquess of Queensberry rules" and seem to rather lose then be perceived of being rude.
If one really, really loves something,I mean if something is really, really, important. Well then they will do anything to protect and fight for it.
This isn't some boxing match, some football came, some debate club championship, there's no mere trophy at stake here. THIS IS THE FUTURE OF OUR COUNTRY AT STAKE HERE!
Thank God there are still people out there willing to be rude. Thank God there are people who will still stand up and yell "Tyrant" when the situation demands it.
You do you it is okay to call out FIRE in a crowded theater if there is actually a fire, don't you?
Look, I know you will respond with how offended you are and a list of the sacrifices you have made for America and all that, and I am sure that's all true. But in the end you would not go the needed extra mile.
And I know, if you (not your ancestors but you) were back in colonial times, you would be a Royalist for those calling for Independence they are, so, so rude. And they really shouldn't have stolen that tea company's tea and dumped it into the harbor like they did. It was "disappointing" that they did that.
No one in the south end must be aware that the economy is tanking. I listened to BOTH Apple Cup overtimes trying to find a parking spot (GO COUGS!)
Since I finally found one outside Penneys, I went in there first. I needed to go into the mall but dawdled there looking at clothes before I ran down to housewares. It was then that the store was shut down to new shoppers and the mall went into lockdown. The first reports we shoppers heard was that there had been a shooting but they caught the gunman.
We were told there was only one way OUT of the store but we could continue shopping IN Penney's if we so desired.
The next report we heard was that they had apprehended one fellow but not the gunman. To me it made more sense at that point to stay in Penneys rather than wander around the parking lot, with a fleeing gunman on the loose.
The next announcement instructed all shoppers and employees to gather at the escalator where we would be met by police and escorted out.
Indeed, we were met by police accompanied by a SWAT guy with an automatic rifle. Everyone was exceptionally calm. We were herded to the door...then simply let out.
The parking lot became a choas of red brake lights. Pedestrians were wandering, trying to find their cars. We all sat at a total standstill trying to exit the parking lot. SUV's and trucks were hopping the curbs and turning into traffic (which was also at a complete standstill.) We got word that they did not apprehend the gunman, but that he was still loose. At that point I got as angry as I was concerned because in that mess of a parking lot, with nowhere to move, we were all sitting ducks. For some reason they were still allowing folks INTO the parking lot and there was a parade of folks who parked and headed toward the store doors... many with young children and strollers. At one point word came around that the exits were blocked, hence the total standstill. With all of us trying to get out, police, ambulances and firetrucks were trying to get in and helicopters were whirling overhead. It was absolutely surreal.
Clearly I did eventually make it home. I heard on the news that 2 young men in their late teens were shot and that one has since died. The have not found the shooter.
While I was indeed in the area, I was never in danger (I don't think). I totally disagreed with the decision to empty a locked down store, but then they never asked my opinion.
When I was finally on my way home, I realized that I live a pretty insulated life. My home is in a "safe" area, never having been subject to violence. I've never been a victim of any sort and rarely come in contact with any police. Granted, malls aren't "my thing" and rarely am I at them after dark. This was quite a wake up call.
Let's remember those young victims and their families in our prayers
Posted by: Ragnar Danneskjold on November 22, 2008 08:36 PMDid they say what race the victims were?
Does it matter in the tragedy of this event? No, not exactly. But the information is important in the understanding of the event.
If the victims were of say the race that our President Elect claims to be then it is most likely, not an absolute certainly, but most likely a case of a gang shooting. I know saying that isn't PC, but again its reality.
I have not heard on the news what the race of either the victims or the shooters were. I am assuming that they aren't white because when they are white the news media immediately informs us that they are. Therefore I am assuming they are not white.
I thought electing Obama were going to give the minorities of our country a role model and a hope for the future that would make them doing acts like this a thing of the past. Obama was elected, so how could something like this happen??????
Posted by: CnR on November 22, 2008 09:08 PMIt only matters in the respect that it it might indicate that the victims were gang members. Then I wouldn't be crying too many tears over the so called "victims" (the true victims would be the people who were put at risk for having the shooting occur where it did and less directly people like you who had their day's plans ruined). But I would feel that about gang members of any race. Funny, but when I hear about a criminal that just happens to be white, I don't go and support him because of his race. The fact he might be white has no bearing on how much sympathy or lack thereof I have for the scumbag.
But if this was a gang shooting, why now? We voted for Obama (well I didn't but the state went for him). A new day has arisen. A black man has been elected president. Hope has arrived. So why now? What is going wrong?????
Posted by: CnR on November 22, 2008 09:22 PMI still do, but it's not up to me and I think some liberal judge gave the scumbag a light sentence.
Point is, that sure in a way this is about race because if the shooters were of the race Obama says he is that would very likely indicate that the shooting is gang related.
But it is not about race in the respect that if the shooters were white (which I am 90 percent sure they weren't because if they are the press tells us their race and when they aren't they don't tell us their race) I would want the punishment to be just as harsh as I would if they were not white.
I would want them to receive Capital Punishment.
But given how this state is these days I am not expecting it.
By the way, that Pakistani guy who shot up the Jewish Center in Seattle killing a person, they still haven't convicted him yet have they? After all these years and still no conviction.
Posted by: CnR on November 22, 2008 09:36 PMThey did say the missing gunman was a black male in his 20's wearing a one piece black jumpsuite with red piping.
Evidently there was an altercation that lead to a fist fight that ended with a shooting, one dead and the other in critical condition. I heard the news on KOMO and saw it on NWCN.
Neither anger nor stupidy have a color.
No - it is official that the republican party (as evidenced by the republican caucus of elected officials in the House) are FOR earmarks, for unrestrained government spending and for huge budget deficits.
I just feel sorry for you republicans who have principles (same as I do) that spending to much on prok-barrel projects in snot a good idea.
You guys have been suckered again. The republican caucus cannot keep their snouts out of the trough.
Posted by: correctnotiright on November 22, 2008 09:48 PMScoot away, little troll.
Posted by: pudge on November 22, 2008 09:51 PMThat may be the case, but typically, nine times out of ten times, when you hear about this happening the people involved are black.
Since whites make up the majority here, whites should be involved in most of these case all things being equal. Simply because there are more of us.
But that is the situation as it exists today, Sorry if it sounds racist. It is not. It is reality. Sorry if it isn't politically correct to mention this, then I am against letting Cultural Marxism stand in the way of truth.
And again, what did they have to fight about? Obama has been elected. Hope has come to the World.
That is what everyone was shopping for, right? The Inauguration Celebrations? Right?
Or as future generations will call it, Obamas.
Posted by: CnR on November 22, 2008 10:04 PMYou do realize that the Republicans GAINED power in Washington State, right? I don't think we lost a single congressional or legislative seat, and I know we had a net gain in both houses of the legislature.
Dino lost only because Obama was the nominee. It's that simple. This was not a Democratic year, not in Washington.
Posted by: pudge on November 22, 2008 10:07 PMYep, look I am not giving myself too much a pat on the back for this prediction. Look, it was a no brainer.
What I am wondering is if it was so obvious why couldn't Dino see it but choose to instead run with the obvious outcome?
And also, for all of you out there who were saying that Dino was going to win just a few months back (though I was re-reading from all the way back to when he announced and I had called it right back then) either you could see this as a no-brainer too but were lying when you said I was wrong, or boy you must have been drinking the kool-aid by the gallon.
Posted by: CnR on November 22, 2008 10:14 PMDino lost because Bush was our President. I could see that way back in the beginning. And, yeah, like you said it was simple to see.
But you didn't see it (or you did and lied) and Dino didn't see it.
Posted by: CnR on November 22, 2008 10:18 PMHe just stood there with his hands down, palms forward until the manager came back. In as much as we've shopped at that store since 1992 (when said son was 9), and the fact that he was holstered and the fact he was shopping in the BACK, the manager calmly lead "lady hysteria" away.... and apologized to our son.
Posted by: Ragnar Danneskjold on November 22, 2008 10:20 PM
CnR: um. The correlation between poor people committing violent acts and shootings is MUCH stronger than the correlation of nonwhite or black people committing them. So citing a (made-up) statistic about correlation with blacks is irrelevant, because we know that that is significantly a side-effect of much stronger correlations.
Not that poverty is the only factor. Disaffected middle class people sometimes engage in those acts as well, and so do unassimilated immigrants, and ideological extremists. There's many different types of people who engage in such acts, but not a single common thread among them is about race.
To try to make this into a race issue is highly illogical. It's not about "Cultural Marxism," it's about not being tricked into seeing something that isn't actually there.
Look, it was a no brainer.
But ... you were wrong. I already proved it: you said it was a Democratic year, but I proved it wasn't. And you refused to address my proof.
You are highly illogical and wasting everyone's time. To top it all off, this entire discussion is off-topic. I am closing it.
