Reichert Extending Lead Over Burner

Dave Reichert crossed a milestone today, winning a small count of mail-in ballots in King County this afternoon. Non-poll votes have been trending toward Reichert in King since an initial tally on Election Day that favored Burner 57% - 43%.

Meanwhile, he continues to extend his lead in Pierce County as that jurisdiction continues its painfully slow process of ballot counting - which is running behind even that of King.

Current overall standings
(with another report coming from King late this evening):

Reichert 50.65% to Darcy Burner's 49.35%.

1. Hah!

No matter what happens -- the one Republican who was actually pro-Bush may be the last one on the West Coast!

So much for the disloyalty of "King County Republicans". You dogs fled from your own party to save yourselves and now look what happened!

No one likes a coward!

We should have defended the real successes of Bush instead of trying to be Obama-Red.

2. Bailo - You have the political sense, and knowledge, of my Goldfish.

Anyhow, to the larger question, I think Reichert will hang on. And thank God for that. If not, we'd officially have someone representing Washington that is dumber then Patty Murray. That would be beyond tragic.

3. He voted against the bailout the first time.

Did he vote against it the second time as well?

4. Is King County really going to post another update this evening? The ballot processors probably went home a while ago. Maybe the 2:49 p.m. computer dump is the last for today? We'll see ...

5. Yes, he did also vote against it the second time.

6. Now it's Reichert 51.1 to Burner's 48.9.

I'm confident Reichert will return to DC. And Darcy, just move to the 7th District and take on Jim McDermott. Much better fit for you and your KOS sickos.

7. Reichert is ahead of Burner in King County now. The last batch of King County ballots broke 12,001 Reichert to 9,524 Burner. Roughly 56% to 44% for Reichert. Looks like Reichert will keep his seat for two more years.

8. Nyuk nyuk. Ditzy Darcy will have to go back to school for another 2 years. Nyuk Nyuk.

9. Well thank God Darcy has that Harvard degree in Economics to fall back on.

10. Its over, Dave is up by over 5,000 votes, and with the returns coming in much more favorably toward him now, its time for Darcy to concede and go back to Harvard to get her Economics specialization. Oh yeah, and some experience. Everyone knows she wasn't an "executive" at Microsoft, nor did she work there for 12 years, as was printed in a Time article. The flame has BURNED out. Call 425 443 2564 for her to CONCEDE. I couldn't be happier that this condescending woman isn't representing me, and that Dave is going back at it for us!

You mean finish law school?

Good grief, who would ever expect her to do that?

Why finish law school when you can run for congress on a non-existent resume?

13. Thank God he won. With Obama as president we can expect another "Carter" scenario. Does it not seem strange that Iran congratulated him for his win. Wow, with a president like this, who needs Al Queda.

14. What will Darcy run against in 2010; i mean w/out Bush she has nothing to talk about....

15. The later absentee ballots are being counted now and these are the post Harvard Hoax voters - those who learned just what a sham and serial exaggerator the Darcy is. No surprises that these ballots broke for Dave 56% to 44%. At this rate, Reichert is likely to win by a bigger vote margin than in '06. Thanks to Darcy for registering all those new voters - maybe she should have asked them who they were planning to vote for first.

16. It looks like Darcy Blunder may have blown it again. At least she can still maintain her title of Whopper Queen, and she can add a new position to her resume:

**Political campaign director who was the driving force in the election of Barrack Obama to the U.S. Presidency.

This can be the culminating entry to her other resume positions:

**Hahvud Economist (since she has an economics degree from Harvard)

**Charitable Coordinator (since she had to go to Goodwill for all of her clothings when her giant house burned down).

**Microsoft Executive (actually she was just a low level program manager, but only Microsoft employees would know that one.

Can't wait to hear the new Whoppers in 2010 :)

17. Not so fast Dave, Darcy won't declare until all the votes from the Aames Lake HOA come in...her stint as President 'really left an impression.'
