WSU Student Newspaper Endorses...

...Dino Rossi.

No truly profound turn of events, but interesting and unexpected nonetheless (h/t: Tom Forbes). Their headline for the endorsement:

"It's the economy, stupid: Vote for Dino Rossi."

3. Way 2 go WASU !!...
Nice ''bookend'' to the Seattle Times endorsement.

And I would add:
''It's the economy, stupid'' applies 2 the race 4 Gov REGARDLESS of the direction the economy takes in the next year or 2:

If Gregoire stays in (shudder) and the economy recovers faster than expected, look for yet another massive binge of big-government spending and regulating; building on the 33 percent spending increase in her 1st term. OTOH, if the economy continues to tank you can bet that the current Gov will be unable to stand up to her State employee and big-labor constituents; and she will set a new record for (again) forgetting her ''this is no time to raise taxes'' comments.

SUMMARY: If anybody you know has not sent in their ballot marked for Dino Rossi yet, this is the time to lean on them.... HARD.

4. Wow, it's changed since I was there.

I worked for it a little when I was there. Didn't do that much, a few stories, wrote a few columns. Anyhow, basically, there was the far left, the normal left, one moderate, and me.

Wonder how things changed so much?

5. Christine Gregoire is a joke. The 75 year old is really pathetic and will lose. No more re-counts. It will be Gov. Rossi. After she is gone, her and Obama can out spend each other in D.C. They should take the 1300 unregistered sex offenders with them. So long Gergorire your four years in this state should never have happened. One of the worst governors in the state's history.
